Okay, so today I want to talk about this guy, Andrew Rosen. I had never heard of him before, but I stumbled upon his name and got curious, so I did some digging. Turns out, he’s kind of a big deal in the fashion world.

I started by just searching his name online. It was a bit overwhelming at first, with lots of articles and interviews. But I wanted to get the main points, so I started skimming through a few of them. I discovered that he’s the CEO of this company called Theory, which he co-founded back in 1997. Apparently, he’s been in the clothing business for a long time—like, it’s in his blood, his family has been in the industry for three generations! That’s pretty impressive, right?
I then found out that he sold a big chunk of Theory to a Japanese company, Fast Retailing, in 2003. But, get this, he kept an 11% share and stayed on as CEO until 2019. That’s some serious dedication. And this Fast Retailing company also owns Uniqlo and J Brand, which are other brands I’ve heard of. He must have some serious connections with these companies’ leaders.
But before Theory, he was the president of Anne Klein. But he was fired because of some disagreements. What a drama! But he didn’t just sit around. He started Theory and made it into a huge success.
