Okay, so I’ve been digging into Sonam Kapoor’s filmography lately, trying to figure out which movie of hers really blew up the box office. You know, her biggest hit. It’s actually kind of a fun little project I set for myself.

First, I started by making a list of all her movies. I mean, the girl’s been in quite a few films, from her debut in “Saawariya” to more recent stuff. Then I started looking at box office numbers. That’s where things got interesting.
It turns out, her biggest commercial successes weren’t necessarily the ones where she was the main star. I noticed that two of her supporting roles, one in “Bhaag Milkha Bhaag” in 2013 and the other in “Sanju” in 2018, did really, really well. I mean, these are some of the highest-grossing Bollywood films ever!
But then I remembered “Prem Ratan Dhan Payo” from 2015. She played a leading role in that one, and guess what? That movie also killed it at the box office. It’s right up there with “Sanju” in terms of earnings.
- She was in a movie called “Neerja”, which a lot of people seem to love. It’s based on a true story, which is cool.
- She’s married to this guy Anand Ahuja, and they own a clothing brand called Bhaane.
- There are a bunch of her movies on Netflix, so I might have a Sonam Kapoor movie marathon soon.
- She’s got about 17 Bollywood movies under her belt. Some were hits, some were, well, not so much.
- She hasn’t been in too many movies lately, which makes sense. I read somewhere that she had a baby and wanted to focus on her family. Plus she can pick the projects she wants to do.
Some other things I found out were:
So, yeah, it’s been a fun little dive into Sonam Kapoor’s career. I learned a lot, and it’s always cool to see how an actor’s journey unfolds over the years. Also, I got to watch some of her movies, and I’m a huge fan of Bollywood movies.
If you guys have any favorite Sonam Kapoor movies, let me know! I’m always up for recommendations.
