My Little AI Photo Experiment
First, I needed an image generator. I’ve played with a few before, so I just using my usual that i’m used to it. You can try which ever you prefer, I don’t want to be too specific about it.
Then I need to think about the image I wanted to get, I mean, the “prompt”. I started simple, typing in something like, “Taylor Swift wearing a Chiefs jersey.” The first few attempts? Hilariously bad. She looked like a melted wax figure wearing a red blob. Not exactly what I was going for.
So, I got more specific. I started adding details: “Taylor Swift, blonde hair, red lipstick, smiling, wearing a Kansas City Chiefs jersey, number 87, at a football game, stadium lights.”
- Adding descriptors helped a lot. “Photorealistic” was a game-changer.
- Mentioning the setting (football stadium) made a big difference.
- Specifying details like “number 87” (Kelce’s number, obviously) made it more Chiefs-specific.
I kept tweaking and refining. I think I generated like 20 different versions. Some were still pretty wonky – weird hands, distorted faces, you name it. AI is still learning, I guess!
I started experimenting with aspect ratios too. Some generators let you choose if you want a square, a landscape, or a portrait-style image. That helped with getting the overall composition right.
Finally, I got a few that I thought looked pretty decent. They weren’t perfect, mind you. You could still tell they were AI-generated if you looked closely. But they were definitely good enough to fool someone at first glance, which was kind of the point of this whole experiment.
The whole thing was a fun little project. It’s pretty amazing how far this AI image stuff has come. A few years ago, this wouldn’t have even been possible.
