Alright, guys, let’s talk about my trip to Trancoso, Brazil. I had been dreaming about this place for a while, and it totally lived up to the hype. Seriously, picture-perfect beaches, a cool little town, and just a super chill vibe overall.
First off, I got to Trancoso and checked into this cute little place called Casa de Pera Inda. Nothing too fancy, but it was cozy and had everything I needed. Plus, it was in a good spot, so I could easily walk around and explore.
The Beaches
- Praia dos Coqueiros: This beach was my favorite. I spent most of my days here just relaxing, swimming, and soaking up the sun. The water was so clear, and there were these awesome coconut trees all along the shore. It was like something out of a postcard.
- Praia do Rio da Barra: I also took a nice long walk along this beach. It’s a bit further out, but definitely worth the trek. It’s super peaceful, and the nature around there is just stunning.
The Town
Trancoso is this adorable little village with a historic square called the Quadrado. It’s lined with colorful houses, little shops, and some seriously good restaurants. At night, the whole square lights up, and it’s just magical.
- The Quadrado: Seriously, I could have spent hours just wandering around here. I grabbed some delicious seafood dinners, browsed the local crafts, and just soaked in the atmosphere.
- Igreja de São João Batista: This old church is right on the Quadrado, overlooking the ocean. I popped in for a quick visit. It’s pretty simple inside, but the views from up there are incredible.
The Vibe
What I loved most about Trancoso was the vibe. Everyone was so friendly and laid-back. It felt like a real community, and I never felt unsafe or out of place. I even took a day trip outside of Trancoso with some locals to see other beaches, which was such a wonderful experience.
Honestly, if you’re looking for a place to unwind, enjoy some beautiful beaches, and experience a bit of Brazilian culture, Trancoso is the place to go. I had the best time, and I’m already dreaming of going back.
