Alright, so I wanted to mess around with this whole “Drake Texas” thing. You know, see if I could get some cool audio going. First, I needed to grab some stuff.

Getting Started
I started by looking for acapellas, I wanted just Drake’s vocals, isolated. No luck finding an official one, those are like gold dust. so I decided to try and rip the vocals myself.
Isolating the Vocals
I found a couple of online tools, but they sounded pretty rough. All robotic and weird. Then I remembered a program,I downloaded and installed that. It’s got some AI features that are supposed to be good for this sort of thing.
I loaded the “Texas” track into the program, and fiddled with the settings for a bit. It was pretty much just clicking around until it sounded halfway decent, gotta be honest. It took some time, there was a lot of trial and error to remove music without making Drake sound like a chipmunk.
Mixing attempt
- I did my best, finally I exported the vocal track, hoping for the best.
The Result
Well, it wasn’t perfect. It still had some of that weird, processed sound, especially in the parts with a lot of background music. But, it was good enough to start experimenting. I can use this processed vocal track to practice mixing, or make a rough demo. It won’t win any awards, but hey, it was a fun project, and a learning experience.
