Okay, so, like everyone else, I’ve been thinking a lot about my wardrobe lately. You know, trying to figure out what’s “in” and what’s “out,” but more importantly, what makes me feel good. I mean, fashion is all about expressing yourself, right?
So I started by cleaning out my closet, just taking everything out and putting it in a big pile. It was kind of scary, but also really eye-opening. I realized I had a lot of stuff I never wear, like those jeans that are two sizes too small and that dress I bought for a wedding five years ago.
Here’s what I learned from that:
- Customization is key. I have a few plain white tees and some denim jackets that I’m going to personalize. I’m thinking of painting some designs on the jeans and maybe adding some patches to the jackets.
- Comfort is a must. I’m not going to force myself to wear something just because it’s trendy if it’s not comfortable. Life’s too short for that, you know?
- Don’t be afraid to experiment. I used to stick to the same basic styles all the time, but I’m trying to branch out a bit. I bought a pair of patent leather loafers, which I never thought I’d wear, and I actually love them!
After I got rid of all the stuff I didn’t need, I started thinking about what I wanted to add to my wardrobe. I went shopping a few times, but I didn’t buy a lot. It was more about getting ideas and seeing what’s out there.
My New Style Goals
- Athleisure is my jam. I love how you can be comfortable and stylish at the same time. I found some great joggers and a really cool hoodie that I can wear pretty much anywhere.
- Shiny is good. I’m really into lustrous fabrics right now. I got a satin slip dress that I can’t wait to wear out. It’s so elegant and makes me feel like a million bucks.
- Gray denim is my new black. I found the perfect pair of gray jeans, and they go with everything! They’re like a blank canvas that I can dress up or down.
- Mary Janes are back! I got a pair of flat-heeled Mary Janes that are so cute and comfy. They add a little bit of a feminine touch to any outfit.
So, yeah, that’s where I’m at with my fashion journey. It’s all about finding what works for me and not being afraid to try new things. At the end of the day, fashion should be fun and make you feel confident, right? I’m still figuring it all out, but it’s been a fun process so far. Oh, and I started taking pictures of my outfits every day, just to see what I like and what I don’t. It’s actually really helpful!
