Alright, so I wanted to take a look at this Vogue August 2001 issue. I mean, who doesn’t love a good throwback, right?

First, I tried to find the magazine online. I really wanted to read the whole thing, not just snippets. That was a bit of a task, honestly. It’s from 2001, so it’s not like it’s just floating around everywhere.
After digging around, I managed to get my hands on a copy. Then, I started flipping through the pages, taking it all in. The cover itself is pretty striking.
I started reading the articles. There’s this one piece called “Free Spirit” by Plum Sykes, which caught my attention. I spent a good chunk of time reading that one and getting lost in it.
I also explored some of the other sections. They had stuff about fashion trends from back then, some cool photo shoots, you know, the usual Vogue stuff.
I’m not gonna lie, it made me a bit nostalgic for that era. The fashion, the style, the whole vibe…it was cool to see how things were.

- I noticed a denim feature called “A Streak of Blue Denim” by Max Vadukul. It featured models like Amanda Brown, Carmen Maria Hillestad, and Marcelle Bittar.
- It was interesting to see how they talked about fashion back then. There was a discussion about fashion reflecting the times, you know, like Victorian stuff and all that.
My Experience with This Magazine:
Reading this issue was a nice trip down memory lane. It was like stepping into a time machine and seeing what people were into back in 2001. The articles, the photos, the ads, everything gave me a good sense of what was hot back then.
It was a bit of work to find it, but it was worth it. I think anyone who’s into fashion or just curious about the past would enjoy taking a look. And hey, it’s a classic issue of Vogue, so that’s pretty cool, too.
I had a good time flipping through it, and it definitely gave me some inspiration. If you can find a copy, give it a read! I found the issue to be a classic, and I am so happy that I was able to finally read it!
