Alright, so listen up, y’all. Let’s talk about this Addison Rae gal and what she wore to that VMA thingy in 2024. I ain’t never heard of her before, but my grandkid keeps talkin’ ’bout these TikTok folks, so I guess she’s one of them.
Now, from what I gather, this girl, she showed up wearin’ somethin’ like a bra. Yeah, you heard that right, a bra! And not just any bra, mind you. It was white and looked all fancy-like, with feathers and stuff. They say it was custom-made, which I guess means someone spent a whole lotta time sewin’ feathers on a bra. Land sakes, what a waste of time! Back in my day, a bra was somethin’ you hid under your clothes, not somethin’ you wore out in public for everyone to gawk at.
They sayin’ her outfit was a little bit inspired by Madonna. Now, Madonna, I’ve heard of her. She was always doin’ wild things back in the day. Guess this Addison girl is tryna be like her, showin’ off skin and whatnot. I tell ya, these young folks these days, they ain’t got no shame.
- First off, it was white. White as a cotton field in July.
- Second, it had feathers. Lots of ’em. Looked like she wrestled a chicken and lost.
- Third, it was small. Barely covered anything, if you ask me.
Some folks sayin’ it was “sexy”. Sexy? I call it plain foolish. But hey, what do I know? I’m just an old lady who thinks clothes should cover more than they reveal. They say her stylist, some woman named Dara, has this rule that it’s only “sexy if it’s freaky.” Well, I guess this outfit was freaky alright. Freaky lookin’!
And get this, this whole thing was on some red carpet. Red carpet? Sounds like somethin’ fancy. But what’s so fancy about a girl wearin’ a bra and feathers? I reckon they just make up these things to get folks talkin’. And talkin’ they are, I guess, since I’m sittin’ here jabberin’ about it.
Apparently, this was her first time at the VMAs. She even posted about it on somethin’ called Instagram, sayin’ she had an “immaculate first time.” Immaculate? That’s a big word for a girl wearin’ a bra in public. But I guess that’s how they talk these days, usin’ big words to make things sound important.
Now, I also heard tell that this Addison gal is tryin’ to be a pop star. She even put out a song about Diet Pepsi, of all things. A song about soda? What’s the world comin’ to? Back in my day, songs were about love and heartbreak, not sugary drinks. But I guess times have changed, and young folks like singin’ about whatever they please.
Anyway, that’s the gist of it. Addison Rae, VMAs, 2024, bra with feathers. It’s all a bit much for an old lady like me, but I guess that’s the way the world is now. Fast-paced, loud, and showin’ lots of skin. Makes me wanna go back to the days when a dress covered your knees and a bra was somethin’ you kept hidden.
But hey, to each their own, I always say. If this Addison girl wants to wear a bra to a fancy event, that’s her business. Just don’t expect me to understand it. And don’t expect me to start wearin’ my undergarments as outerwear anytime soon. I’m too old for that kind of nonsense.
