Well, let me tell you ’bout this Simone Biles weddin’. You know, that little gymnast girl, the one who flips and twists like a dang tornado? Yeah, her. She got herself hitched!
First weddin’, real quick and quiet like, down at some courthouse in Houston, Texas. That was on April 22nd, 2023. Guess they just wanted to make it official, you know? Sign them papers and get ‘er done. Didn’t even have a big ol’ party or nothin’. Just them two, I reckon.
But then, honey, lemme tell ya, they had themselves ANOTHER weddin’! A real fancy one this time, down in Cabo, Mexico. That was on May 6th, 2023. Cabo, can ya believe it? Sounds like a place for rich folks, that’s for sure. Folks are sayin’ it cost a pretty penny, too. Heard tell it was around $460,000! Lord have mercy, that’s more money than I’ve seen in my whole life!

- Spent a whole lotta money, like half a million dollars!
This Simone girl, she married a fella named Jonathan Owens. He plays football, I think. Big fella, strong-lookin’. They met on one of them internet datin’ things, Raya, they call it. Happened back in 2020. Then, in 2022, he popped the question. Took her a while to have the weddin’ though, huh?
Now, this second weddin’, that was somethin’ else. Simone, she had herself some fancy dresses. A designer made ’em, some fella named Galia Lahav. Heard them dresses cost a fortune too. She looked like a princess, all white and sparkly. And that Jonathan fella, he was lookin’ mighty spiffy himself in his suit.
They had all their friends and family there, too. Aly and Melanie and Jordan and Madison and Maggie and Katelyn… a whole bunch of ‘em. They all dressed up and celebrated with Simone and Jonathan. Musta been a real good time. Lots of eatin’ and dancin’, I bet. Wish I coulda been there to see it, but I reckon I wasn’t invited. Ain’t nobody invitin’ an old woman like me to no fancy weddings in Mexico!
They had a whole weddin’ weekend, it sounds like. Not just one day, but a whole weekend of partyin’ and celebratin’. Must be nice to have that kind of money, huh? To just fly off to Mexico and have a big ol’ fancy weddin’ for a whole weekend.
After all that weddin’ hoopla, they settled down, I guess. They’ve been fixin’ up their house, makin’ it all nice and cozy. They post pictures online, so folks can see what they’re up to. Seems like they’re happy, which is all that matters, right? A weddin’ is just one day, but a marriage is supposed to last a lifetime.
So, that’s the story of Simone Biles’ weddin’s. Two of ‘em! One quick and easy, one big and fancy. Spent a whole lot of money, had a whole lot of fun. Hope they live happily ever after, them two. They seem like nice young folks, and I wish ‘em all the best.
Now, I gotta go make myself some supper. All this talk about fancy weddin’s is makin’ me hungry! Maybe I’ll just have some beans and cornbread. Nothin’ fancy for me, that’s for sure!
