Okay, so I’ve been digging into the fall 2024 collections, and let me tell you, it’s been a process. I wanted to get a handle on the major trends, you know, get a feel for what we’ll all be wearing (or at least, what the designers think we’ll be wearing) next fall.

First, I started by just browsing. I mean, that’s the fun part, right? I went through a bunch of online magazines and fashion sites. I didn’t have any specific plan, at first, just wanted to see the general vibes.
Getting Organized
After a while, though, it got overwhelming. So many looks, so many designers! I decided I needed to get organized. I created a simple spreadsheet. Nothing fancy, just columns for:
- Designer
- Key Pieces
- Colors
- Fabrics
- Overall Vibe (my own notes)
This is where the real work began. I went back to those magazines and sites, but this time, I was taking notes. I jotted down the things that stood out to me, the recurring themes. I started to see some patterns emerging, like lots of oversized silhouettes, and a surprising amount of brown (who knew?).
Filling in the Blanks
Then I deep dived into the shows individually.
I copied some pictures to help me remeber the styles.

And that’s how I did it.
It took a few days, honestly, and it’s still a work in progress. But I feel like I have a much better understanding of what to expect. Now, the next step is to figure out how to incorporate these trends into my own wardrobe… that’s a whole other project!
