Alright, alright, let’s yak about this Greatest Showman 2 thing, ya know, the movie with all that singin’ and dancin’. Folks keep askin’, “Is it happenin’? When’s it comin’?” Well, hold yer horses, I’ll tell ya what I heard.
First off, that Hugh Jackman fella, the one who played that Barnum fella, yeah, he’s busy as a bee in a flower patch. He’s got his fingers in all sorts of pies, movies and such. So, that’s one thing. He’s gotta find the time, ya see? Can’t just snap yer fingers and make a movie appear, can ya?
Now, they made a whole heap of money from that first movie. Tickets, music, the whole shebang. So, you’d think they’d be jumpin’ to make another one, right? But these Hollywood types, they got their own ways of doin’ things. It ain’t always about the money, though money sure helps, don’t it?
I heard tell they’re thinkin’ about puttin’ it on the stage, like them Broadway shows. Same songs, same story, maybe some new stuff too. That Pasek and Paul fellas, the ones who wrote the songs, they’re supposed to be involved. That sounds fancy, don’t it? But it ain’t the same as a movie, is it? Big screen, bright lights, that’s what folks like.
- Hugh Jackman’s Availability: He’s a busy man, so finding time is tough.
- Money Made: The first movie made a pile of cash, so a sequel makes sense, money-wise.
- Stage Adaptation: They’re talking about a stage show, which is somethin’ different.
I remember in the first movie, there was that bit with the colored gal and the rich fella. Folks didn’t like that much, back in them days. Rich folks always thinkin’ they’re better, ya know? And that singer lady, the one with the pretty voice, she up and left that Barnum fella. Gave him a kiss and then poof, gone! Guess she had her own plans.
So, will they make Greatest Showman 2? Maybe, maybe not. It’s all up in the air. Hugh Jackman’s busy, they’re thinkin’ about a stage show, and who knows what else them Hollywood folks are up to. But if they do make it, I hope it’s got more singin’, more dancin’, and maybe a little less heartache. And more animals, I like animals. Always did.
It’s like waitin’ for rain in a drought. You keep hopin’, keep lookin’ at the sky, but sometimes it just don’t come. That’s how it feels with this movie. But hey, we can always watch the first one again, right? Sing along to them songs, tap our feet. It ain’t the same as a new movie, but it’ll do for now.
They say the first movie was about that Barnum fella, how he started from nothin’ and built somethin’ big. A circus, they called it. Full of all sorts of folks, different shapes and sizes, different colors too. That’s what made it special, I reckon. Everybody belongin’, even if they were a little different. Maybe the second movie will be about what happened after, ya know? How they kept the circus goin’, how they faced new challenges. That’d be somethin’ to see.
But like I said, it’s all just talk right now. Rumors and whispers. We’ll just have to wait and see what them Hollywood folks decide. In the meantime, I’ll keep my ears open and listen for any news. And if I hear anything, you can bet I’ll tell ya. ‘Cause that’s what neighbors do, right? We share the gossip, we share the stories, we keep each other in the loop.
