Travis Scott 4s: A Look at the Collaboration History

Alright, alright, let’s talk about them Travis Scott shoes, the 4s, you know? Folks are goin’ crazy for ’em, like chickens after a feed toss. I don’t get it, but my grandkid, he keeps yappin’ about ’em. Says they’re a big deal. Big deal, huh? Back in my day, a big deal was gettin’ a new pair of work boots that didn’t leak.

So, this Travis fella, he’s been workin’ with Nike for a spell now, seems like. Started back in 2018, they say. That’s when he first slapped his name on some of them sneakers. Now, they got all sorts of shoes with his mark. Jumpman Jacks, they call ’em somethin’. Sounds like a kid’s game to me.

My grandkid says these shoes, they sell out faster than a plate of hot biscuits at a church picnic. Stores can’t even keep ’em on the shelves. Folks fightin’ over ’em, like it’s the last piece of pie. Heard tell it’s even dangerous to sell ’em, folks gettin’ robbed and all. Land sakes! Just shoes! They ain’t gonna make you fly or nothin’.

Seems like this Travis, he’s got shoes everywhere. Air Jordans, this and that. They even made shoes with McDonald’s? Now I’ve heard it all. Hamburgers and sneakers? What’s next, tractors and tutus? Makes about as much sense as a screen door on a submarine.

  • First, they had these Air Jordan 1 shoes. Those were the first ones, apparently.
  • Then they just kept comin’ with more and more shoes. Like rabbits in the spring, I tell ya.
  • Now, they talkin’ about shoes comin’ out in 2024 and 2025. Good grief, ain’t they got enough shoes already?

This boy, Travis, he just turned 32, they say. Celebratin’ his birthday with more shoes, I reckon. Seems like that’s all he does. Make shoes and sell shoes. Well, good for him, I guess. Long as folks are buyin’ ’em. Just seems like a whole lotta fuss over somethin’ you put on your feet.

My grandkid, he’s always lookin’ at pictures of these shoes. Showin’ ’em to me on that little phone of his. They’re colorful, I’ll give ’em that. Got all sorts of swooshes and patches and whatnot. And that Cactus Jack fella, he’s got his mark on ’em too. Cactus Jack, sounds like a fella who’d get along with my old mule, stubborn as can be.

I don’t know, maybe I’m just too old to understand. But payin’ all that money for shoes? Seems like a waste to me. You could buy a whole lot of groceries with that kind of cash. Or a good, sturdy pair of overalls. Somethin’ that’ll last. These fancy sneakers, they probably fall apart after a few good wears.

But the kids, they love ’em. And that’s all that matters, I guess. They got their Travis Scott shoes, and they’re happy as clams. Me? I’ll stick with my old boots. They ain’t fancy, but they get the job done. And they don’t cost an arm and a leg. That’s for sure.

So, there you have it. That’s all I know about them Travis Scott 4s. Not much, I admit. But hey, I’m just an old lady. What do I know about fancy sneakers? I’d rather spend my money on a good cup of coffee and a slice of apple pie. Now that’s somethin’ worth gettin’ excited about.
