Alright, let’s talk about this Jerry guy and his fancy house, you know, the one in Los Feliz. I heard it’s up for sale, big money stuff, like almost fifteen million dollars! Can you believe that? That’s more money than I’ve seen in my whole life, and probably more than my whole family has seen put together.
This Jerry, they say he’s a fashion fella, makes clothes and stuff. “Fear of God,” they call it. Sounds kinda scary, if you ask me. I ain’t afraid of God, been goin’ to church my whole life. But these city folks, they got different ways, I guess.
Anyways, this house, it ain’t no ordinary house. It’s old, been there since the 1930s, they say. But it ain’t lookin’ old, not like my ol’ barn. They fixed it up real nice, made it all fancy and what not. Some folks called “Clements Design” did the work. Sounds like a bunch of high-falutin’ decorators to me. Bet they charged a pretty penny too.
They call it a “Mediterranean estate,” whatever that means. Sounds fancy, right? Probably got all sorts of fancy things inside. Seven bedrooms, they say! Seven! What in the world does a fella need seven bedrooms for? I raised my whole family in a three-bedroom house, and we made do just fine. But I guess when you got money like this Jerry, you just gotta have lots of rooms, even if you don’t use ‘em.
- Big House: It’s a big ol’ house, built way back in the 1930s, but fixed up all nice and new.
- Lots of Rooms: Seven bedrooms, can you imagine? More rooms than a body knows what to do with.
- Fancy Folks Worked on it: These “Clements Design” people made it all pretty and what not. Musta cost a fortune.
- Close to Stuff: They say it’s near Griffith Park and some fancy shops and restaurants. Good for them city folk, I guess.
Now, they say this house is in a place called Los Feliz. I ain’t never been there, but I hear it’s a nice area. Close to Griffith Park, whatever that is. And close to some fancy stores and restaurants. Again, more stuff for them city folks. Me, I’m happy with my garden and the local diner. Don’t need all that fancy stuff.
This Jerry, he must be doin’ alright for himself, sellin’ clothes and all. Fifteen million dollars for a house… that’s just somethin’ else. I bet it’s got a fancy kitchen, with all them shiny gadgets. And probably bathrooms bigger than my whole living room. And a yard big enough to get lost in. It’s all just too much for a simple woman like me to even think about.
I wonder who’s gonna buy it? Another fancy fella, I reckon. Some movie star, maybe, or another one of them fashion designers. It sure ain’t gonna be nobody I know. We don’t roll in that kind of money ‘round here. We’re just regular folks, workin’ hard and tryin’ to make ends meet. But hey, it’s always interesting to hear about how the other half lives, even if it’s a world away from my own.
So, yeah, that’s the story of Jerry’s house in Los Feliz. Big, fancy, and expensive. A whole lotta house for a whole lotta money. More than I can even fathom. But I guess that’s just how it is in the big city. Different world, different rules, different kind of livin’. Me, I’ll stick to my little ol’ place, thank you very much. It ain’t fancy, but it’s home, and that’s all that matters.
And if this Jerry fella ever needs a good home-cooked meal, he’s welcome to come on down. I can’t offer him a seven-bedroom mansion, but I can sure offer him some good ol’ fashioned hospitality and a plate full of comfort food. That’s worth more than all the money in the world, if you ask me.
