This here thing, they call it a Tremaine Emory Marc Jacobs interview, it’s all the talk these days. Big city folks sure love their fancy names. I heard my granddaughter talkin’ ’bout it. She’s always on that phone of hers, lookin’ at the picture box. This Tremaine fella, he makes clothes, I reckon. And this other one, Marc Jacobs, he’s another one of them designer types.
They got together, chit-chattin’ about somethin’ or other. Probably about them fancy clothes they make. Cost a fortune, I bet. Back in my day, we made our own clothes. Didn’t need no fancy names to tell us what to wear. We wore what was practical, what kept us warm in the winter and cool in the summer.
Big Doins’ with the Clothes
This Marc Jacobs, he’s been at it a long time. Forty years, I hear! That’s a long time to be makin’ clothes. He must have a whole heap of ’em by now. My granddaughter, she showed me a picture of this Tremaine Emory fella. He got his own brand, calls it “Denim Tears”. Sounds a bit sad, don’t it? Like somethin’ you’d wear to a funeral.
They are makin’ a big fuss about it, that’s for sure. They say it’s a celebration. Like a birthday party, but for clothes. This Marc Jacobs fella and this Tremaine, they get together and the next thing, you know everyone’s talkin’ ’bout it. And what do they talk about? Marc Jacobs and Tremaine Emory, of course.
They got this bag, they call it a “Tote Bag”. Sounds like somethin’ you’d carry your taters in. But I reckon it’s fancier than that. They put a wreath on it. A cotton wreath. Now, I’ve seen wreaths before, but never on a bag. Usually, you put ’em on a door, or on a grave. This one, it’s made of cotton. Imagine that.
- Denim Tears is the brand name.
- Marc Jacobs is another brand.
- They make a bag, call it a Tote Bag.
- It’s got a cotton wreath on it. That’s what they say.
Forty Years of Fancy
This Marc Jacobs, forty years he’s been doin’ this. That’s longer than I been married to my old man. And he’s been around for a while, let me tell ya. They say he’s got “creative inspiration”. Sounds like a fancy way of sayin’ he likes to make things. I reckon we all got a little bit of that in us. Some folks knit, some folks sew, some folks, like this Marc, they make fancy clothes for city folk.
This Tremaine fella, he used to work for Marc, they say. Learned the ropes, I suppose. Now he’s got his own thing goin’ on. Good for him, I say. Always good to see a young’un make somethin’ of themselves. Even if it is just makin’ fancy clothes with sad names like “Denim Tears”.
This Bag Thing
You can only get it online. Like mail-order but fancy. They say it has a “sleek design”. I don’t know about “sleek”, but I know these things cost more than a week’s worth of groceries. They say people are lookin’ for Tremaine Emory x Marc Jacobs. It is always like this with famous people. When they get together, everyone’s talkin’ about it.
I still don’t rightly understand what all the fuss is about. It’s just a bag, ain’t it? But I reckon folks like to have somethin’ special, somethin’ different. Somethin’ with a fancy name attached to it. Makes ’em feel good, I suppose. And maybe that’s all that matters. This Tremaine Emory Marc Jacobs interview, it made people talk, that’s for sure.
Back in my day, we didn’t have no internet. We just had the clothes on our backs, and that was good enough for us. But times change, I reckon. And folks change with ’em. This Denim Tears and Marc Jacobs thing is just a sign of the times.
I guess if you got the money to spend, and you like fancy things, then this Marc Jacobs Tote Bag is for you. Me? I’ll stick to my old feed sack. It may not be fancy, but it gets the job done. And it don’t cost an arm and a leg. That’s a good thing. These old bones ain’t gettin’ any younger. I need to save my money for important things, not some fancy bag with a cotton wreath on it. Although, I do have to admit, that wreath is kinda peculiar. Makes ya wonder, don’t it? What are they thinking with that thing?
