Dark Copper Hair: Get the Look with These Simple Steps!

Okay, so I’ve been totally obsessed with the “dark copper hair” trend lately. I finally decided to take the plunge and try it out myself. I’m no professional, just a regular person who loves experimenting with hair color at home. Here’s how it went down:

Dark Copper Hair: Get the Look with These Simple Steps!

Getting Started

First things first, I needed to figure out what shade of dark copper I even wanted. I spent like, a whole evening scrolling through pictures. There are so many variations! I eventually landed on something that looked rich, deep and had some serious shine.

The Dyeing Process

Next, I made a trip and grabbed two boxes of a dark copper shade. I figured it was better to have too much than not enough, right? I also made sure to get a good conditioner, because coloring can be drying. Always use gloves.

  • Prep Work: I put on an old t-shirt (dye stains, duh!), draped a towel around my shoulders. Made sure all the mixing stuff ready to go.
  • Mixing it Up: Follow the instructions on the box to mix the dye. No rocket science here, just be precise.
  • Application Time: Starting at the roots, cause that’s where my natural color is most obvious. I worked my way through, section by section. This took a while, and my arms definitely got a workout!
  • Waiting Game: Once my whole head was covered, I set a timer. Most instructions say around 25-35 minutes, but I kept a close eye on it.
  • Rinse and Repeat: I rinsed it all out, until the water ran clear. Then, I used a generous amount of that conditioner I mentioned.

My First time Result

Honestly? It turned out amazing! The color was even richer and deeper than I expected. It had this gorgeous, warm glow. I think it suits my skin tone way better than I thought it would. Even my friends said they love it!

The only tricky part was making sure I got every single strand of hair. I have very thick hair, so it took some real effort. But the final color made all that arm-aching work totally worth it. I’m completely sold on this dark copper life!
