Seems like these two have been together a good long while now. Started sparkin’ back in 2017, they say. That’s… let’s see… carry the one… a fair bit of time! He’s the singer for that band, Coldplay, you know, the ones with all them fancy songs. She’s an actress, makes movies and such. They’re both busy as bees, always buzzin’ around doin’ somethin’ or other.
- Dakota Johnson ain’t never been married, mind you. Had a few fellas before, but this Chris seems to be the one stickin’ around.
- Chris Martin, well, he was hitched before, to that Gwyneth Paltrow lady. But that’s water under the bridge now.
They don’t go out and about much, them two. Not like them other Hollywood types, always flashin’ their pearly whites for the cameras. These two, they like to keep things quiet-like. But every now and then, they pop up, like a groundhog on a sunny day.
Just the other day, they were seen out in Los Angeles, celebratin’ Dakota’s birthday. Thirty-four, she is. A young’un still, in my book. Chris, he’s older, forty-seven or somethin’. But age ain’t nothin’ but a number, I always say.
They went to some do-gooder thing too, a “Peace Place” it was called. Forest Whitaker, that actor fella, he put it on. Guess they care about them things, peace and such. Good for them, I reckon.
Are they happy? Who knows?
Folks are always gossiping, you know? Sayin’ this and that. Some say they’re head over heels, some say they’re on the rocks. Heard tell they were splittin’ up at one point, but then there they were, holdin’ hands and whatnot. Can’t believe everything you hear, that’s for sure.

They’re kinda like two peas in a pod, them two. Always seem to be in their own little world, not payin’ no mind to the hubbub around ’em. That’s good, I think. Keeps a fella grounded, havin’ someone to share your little world with.
What’s next for ‘em?
Well, that’s anyone’s guess, ain’t it? Maybe they’ll get hitched, maybe they’ll go their separate ways. Maybe they’ll just keep on keepin’ on, the way they been doin’. Life’s a funny thing, you never know what’s around the bend.
One thing’s for certain, though, them city folk will keep on yappin’ about ‘em. And me? Well, I’ll just sit here on my porch, watchin’ the world go by, and maybe read about ‘em in them magazines ever now and then.
Los Angeles seems to be where they hang their hats, most of the time. Big city, that is. Full of comin’s and goin’s. Not like out here, where things are a bit slower paced. But different strokes for different folks, I always say.
