It’s winter! Time to get my nails shining up for the cold weather. I’ve been flipping through tons of pics and ideas lately, trying to figure out what I want on my nails. Red, green, and glitter are always a classic choice for the holidays, but I wanted something more this time.
So, I started by gathering a bunch of nail polish I already have. There were some deep blues, a couple of shimmery whites, and even a gold glitter polish I got last year. I laid them all out on the table and just stared at them for a while, letting my brain do its thing.
Trying things out
- First, I tried painting my nails with a dark blue color. It looked okay, kind of like a winter night sky, but it felt a bit too plain for me.
- Then I added some snowflake designs using a thin brush and white polish. It was a bit tricky, and some of the snowflakes ended up looking more like blobs. Oops!
- After that, I decided to go for something a little fancier. I painted my nails white and then added some gold glitter to the tips. It looked pretty, but maybe a bit too much like a wedding than winter.
I was getting a little frustrated at this point. Nothing seemed to be working out the way I wanted. But I didn’t give up! I took a break, made myself a cup of hot chocolate, and looked at some more pictures online. Finally, I found an idea that I really liked – a simple design with white nails and small gold snowflakes.
Giving it another shot
I cleaned off all the polish from my nails and started fresh. I carefully painted each nail with two coats of white polish, making sure it was nice and smooth. Then, using a tiny brush and my gold glitter polish, I drew delicate snowflakes on each nail. This time, I took my time and made sure each snowflake was perfect.
And guess what? It worked! My nails looked amazing! They were simple, elegant, and totally gave off that winter vibe I was going for. I added a top coat to seal everything in, and I was good to go.
It took some trial and error, but I finally got my perfect winter nails. They’re chic, they’re sparkly, and they make me feel all warm and fuzzy inside, even when it’s freezing outside. So, if you’re looking for some winter nail inspiration, don’t be afraid to experiment and try different things until you find something you love!
