Well now, let’s talk about them yellow Ferraris. You know, the fancy cars, the ones them rich folks drive. I seen a picture once, shiny and bright like a buttercup. Made me squint, it did.
I ain’t never seen one in real life, mind you. Around here, we mostly got tractors and pickup trucks. Them yellow Ferraris, they’re somethin’ else entirely. They say they go real fast, like a scalded dog, zoomin’ down the road. Can’t imagine goin’ that fast myself, gets my stomach all churnin’ just thinkin’ about it.
Now, I heard tell you can buy these yellow Ferraris used. Used, you know, like somebody else drove ’em already. Guess even rich folks get tired of their toys sometimes. There’s places, they say, where you can find a whole bunch of ’em. Used Yellow Ferrari 488, they call ’em, or somethin’ like that. Sounds like a mouthful, don’t it? They got all sorts, Ferrari 458, too. More numbers and letters than a bingo card, I swear.
- They got folks, experts they call ’em, that help you find just the right one.
- And if you wanna sell your Ferrari, they’ll even tell you how much it’s worth.
It’s a whole different world, this Ferrari business. They even got this thing called Ferrari Approved. Means somebody checked it all out, made sure it’s still runnin’ good. Like when you take your cow to the vet, I guess. Gotta make sure it ain’t gonna break down on ya. And these Ferrari folks, they got their own special fellas who work on the cars. Keep ’em runnin’ smooth, like a well-oiled churn.
Now here’s a funny thing I heard. You wouldn’t think it, but yellow, that there Giallo Modena Yellow, it used to be the color they raced Ferraris in. Before they went and made ’em all red. Red was for Italy, see. Like green for them British folks and blue for the French. But Ferrari, they stuck with the red after a while. Still and all, yellow was first. Kinda like how the rooster crows before the sun comes up. First things first, you know?
But get this, not just anybody can buy one of these yellow Ferraris. They check you out, see if you’re the kind of person they wanna sell to. They look at your drivin’ record, see if you been crashin’ into things. And they wanna know about your family, your job, who you hang out with. Sounds nosy to me, but I guess they don’t want just anybody drivin’ around in their fancy cars. Guess they figure if you got a good family and a steady job, you ain’t gonna go wreckin’ their precious Ferraris.
Now, that red color, Rosso Corsa they call it, it’s real pretty, I ain’t gonna lie. But it wasn’t always the color they was. Way back when, they had to paint all them Italian race cars red, that was the rule. But like I said, yellow was there first, racin’ around the track, a blur of sunshine. And even now, you still see them yellow Ferraris racin’. A fella named Salvatore Ammendola, he drove a yellow one, a 195 Inter Berlinetta, way back when.
So, there you have it. A little bit about yellow Ferraris. They’re fast, they’re fancy, and they ain’t for just anybody. But they got a history, these cars, and that yellow color, it’s part of it. Like a secret handshake, known only to them who know. Maybe someday I’ll see one in person. But ’til then, I’ll just stick to my pickup truck. Gets me where I need to go, and that’s good enough for me.
