So, I started digging into the Fendi Fall 2024 stuff. Just scrolling through the pictures, you know, seeing what they put out there this time. Watched a few clips from the show too. It’s always a bit of a spectacle, isn’t it?
First thing I noticed was the color palette. Lots of earthy tones, browns, greens, some grey. Looked pretty grounded, actually. Not like some collections that are just blindingly bright or something you can’t imagine wearing outside a photoshoot. But then you look closer at the shapes.
My Trying-to-Get-It Phase
I spent a good hour just staring at some of the outfits. Trying to figure out how you’d actually move in some of them. There were these really structured jackets and some layered looks that seemed… well, complicated. Like, how many pieces are actually involved in that one outfit? I started thinking about my own closet.
- Could I wear that giant coat on the bus? Probably not.
- Would that layered skirt thing work for a trip to the grocery store? Definitely not.
- Are those super sheer tops practical for, like, anything in real life? Big maybe.
It reminded me of this time I bought a really ‘fashion-forward’ jacket a few years back. Looked amazing on the hanger. Put it on, felt like a robot. Couldn’t bend my arms right. Wore it once, then it just sat there, judging me from the closet. That’s what looking at some of these Fendi pieces felt like. Impressive, sure. But wearable?
Thinking About the Details
Then I got into the details. Saw a lot of leather, some interesting knits. The craftsmanship probably costs a fortune, right? That’s always the thing with these brands. You see something and think, “Okay, that knit pattern is nice,” but then you remember it probably costs more than your rent.
What really struck me was the mix of utility vibes with super luxe materials. Big pockets, sturdy-looking boots, but then maybe it’s made of cashmere or something ridiculously expensive. It’s a weird mix. Like they want it to look practical, but it’s absolutely not for getting your hands dirty.
So yeah, that was my dive into Fendi Fall 2024. Looked at the pictures, thought about wearing it, imagined the price tag, and mostly concluded it’s interesting to look at. Like visiting a museum. You appreciate the art, but you’re not taking it home to put on your couch. Ended up just closing the browser tab and thinking about what actual clothes I need for next season. Probably a new pair of jeans.
