Okay, so, 2014, right? Let me tell you, it was a wild year for fashion. I decided to really get into what was trending back then, like, doing a deep dive.

Getting Started
First off, I started by browsing through tons of old fashion magazines and online articles from 2014. I wanted to see what people were actually wearing, you know, not just what the designers were pushing. I spent hours scrolling and taking notes.
Diving Deeper
Then, I started looking at what celebrities were wearing on the red carpets. They were all about those lacy minidresses in bright colors. I remember seeing them everywhere! I even tried finding a similar dress for myself, but it wasn’t really my style.
Experimenting with Trends
- High-Low Skirts: I noticed these were huge. I bought a black one and experimented with different tops and shoes. It was surprisingly versatile! I wore it to a party once and got a bunch of compliments.
- Pleated Skirts: These were replacing the usual maxi or pencil skirts. I got a couple of these, too. I found they were super comfy and pretty easy to dress up or down.
- Crop Tops: Crop tops were everywhere. I tried pairing some with high-waisted jeans and skirts. It was a fun look.
Trying on Clothes
After gathering all these ideas and even buying a few pieces, I started trying them on. I mixed and matched different items to see what worked. Some outfits were a hit, and some were a total miss. It was all part of the process, you know?
Documenting Everything
I took tons of photos of myself in different outfits. I wanted to document my whole journey, from the initial research to the final looks. I even made some notes about how each outfit made me feel.
Sharing My Experience
Finally, I compiled all my photos and notes and shared them with my friends. We had a good laugh about some of the outfits, but it was cool to see how fashion had changed and to try out something new. It was a fun ride, going back to 2014’s fashion trends. I learned a lot about what was popular then and even discovered a few styles that I still like today. I think I will do this again for fun.
