This year, that Taylor Swift, she didn’t show up at that big fancy party, the Met Gala. Ain’t nobody seen her there. Last time I seen her picture at that thing was, what, 2016? Long time ago now. She was wearing some shiny silver dress, lookin’ like a robot or somethin’.
This big party, it’s called the Met Gala 2024. They got a different theme every year, you know? This year, it was somethin’ about “Sleeping Beauty,” like that old story. “Sleeping Beauties: Reawakening Fashion,” that’s what they called it. Fancy words for old clothes, I reckon. Held at that big museum in New York City, that Metropolitan Museum of Art. Big place. Lots of old stuff.
But that Taylor Swift, she weren’t there. I heard lots of other folks were missin’, too. That Rihanna, she weren’t there. And that Billie Eilish girl, she sings real high, you know? She weren’t there either. And that Miley Cyrus, she always wearin’ somethin’ crazy. Nope, not her either. That Billy Porter, Selena Gomez, and Benny Blanco, also didn’t show. Lots of big names missin’, I guess.
That Taylor Swift, she likes them fancy clothes, though. I seen her wearin’ all kinds of things. Versace, that’s a fancy name. And Christian Louboutin, those shoes with the red bottoms. Costs more than my whole house, I bet. She wears ’em all the time.
When she’s just walkin’ around, not on some red carpet, she still wears them fancy clothes. Stella McCartney, that’s another one. And Ralph Lauren, you see him on them horses, playin’ that polo. And some other ones, Alaia and The Row. All them rich people clothes.
Now, that Met Gala outfit, that’s what everyone talks about. What folks gonna wear to that big party. It’s a big deal, I guess. But Taylor Swift Met Gala outfit 2024? Well, there ain’t one! She weren’t there! So no fancy dress to talk about this year.
They say this year’s theme was about old clothes, “Reawakening Fashion” or somethin’. Like they bringin’ old clothes back to life. Like them old dresses in the museum. I got some old dresses in my closet, too. Maybe I should’ve gone. Just kiddin’.
That Taylor Swift, she’s a busy girl, though. Singin’ all them songs, travelin’ all over. Maybe she was just tired. Or maybe she didn’t like the theme this year. Who knows.
I remember that silver dress she wore in 2016. That was a Met Gala outfit, alright. Made by Louis Vuitton, I heard. Another one of them fancy names. Looked like somethin’ from the future. Not like her usual dresses. She usually wears them flowery things.

Anyways, that Taylor Swift, she’s a good singer. Even if she didn’t go to that party. I like that one song she sings, about shakin’ it off. That’s a good one. Makes you wanna dance. Even if you’re old like me.
