You know, I seen it all in my days, but these Crocs and heels, they somethin’ else. Crocs, them rubbery shoes with the holes, and heels, them tall things that make your legs look long. Who woulda thought they’d be talked about together? But here we are. And let me tell you, these young folks, they wearin’ all sorts of things these days. Crocs are like them comfy slippers, you know? But for outside. Heels, well, they for fancy times, makes you taller, but my feet hurt just thinkin’ about ’em.
Now, I seen these Crocs everywhere. Even my granddaughter, she got a pair. Pink ones. Says they’re all the rage. I don’t get it, but hey, if she’s happy. They say you gotta get the right size, just like any shoe. Don’t want ’em too tight, pinchin’ your toes. And don’t want ’em too loose, floppin’ around like a fish outta water. They say these Crocs, they fit like your regular shoe size. So if you a size eight, you get a size eight Croc. Easy peasy. But if you one of them half sizes, like an eight and a half, well, they say go up a size. Better too big than too small, I always say.
They come in all colors, these Crocs. I seen red ones, blue ones, even them sparkly ones. Like a rainbow threw up on your feet. And they got these little charms you can stick in the holes. Flowers, and animals, and all sorts of things. It’s like decoratin’ your shoes. Back in my day, we just had plain old shoes. Black or brown. Nothin’ fancy. But times change, I reckon.

Now, some folks, they wear these Crocs with socks. Yeah, socks! I don’t get it. The holes are there to let your feet breathe, right? Like when it’s hot out. But they say it’s for style. Or to keep their feet warm. Young folks and their style, I tell ya. They wear anythin’ these days. Stripes with polka dots, purple with orange. Nothin’ matches anymore. But with Crocs and socks, I don’t know.
Then there’s the heels. Oh, the heels. I used to wear ’em when I was younger. To dances and such. Made me feel all fancy. But they sure are a pain. After a while, your feet just ache. And you gotta be careful not to twist your ankle. I seen it happen. Not pretty. Now they got all kind of heels. Some high heels are real tall, like stilts. And some are shorter, like little kittens. They call ’em kitten heels, I think. And some got thick heels, and some got skinny heels. It’s a whole world of heels out there.
Now, these young people, they tryin’ to wear Crocs like they fancy shoes, I guess. They pairin’ them with jeans and such. Tryna dress them up. I saw a picture in one of them magazines, a girl wearin’ Crocs with a fancy dress. I don’t know about all that. Seems like wearin’ your house slippers to a party. But what do I know? I’m just an old lady. I just wear what’s comfortable.
Some people like them Crocs shoes, some people like them heels. Some people like both, I guess. Me, I’ll stick to my comfy shoes. These old feet ain’t what they used to be. But it’s interestin’ to see what the young folks are up to. Wearin’ their Crocs and their heels. It’s a different world out there. And these Crocs and heels, they just a part of it, I suppose. It’s all about what you like, I reckon. What makes you feel good. Even if it is a rubbery shoe with holes in it, or a tall shoe that makes your feet hurt. To each their own, as they say.
So if you see someone walkin’ around in Crocs, don’t be surprised. They all over the place. And if they wearin’ heels, well, that ain’t nothin’ new. Just hope they don’t fall. And if they wearin’ both, well, that’s just the style these days. Just remember to get the right size Crocs, and maybe avoid them tall heels if you value your ankles. You only get the one pair of feet, gotta take care of them. At least that is what I think. If you want to buy Crocs, just go to the store and see.
