Hey everyone, it’s your boy back again with another wild project. Today, I’m diving into something that’s been on my mind for a while now – recreating that iconic Saweetie look with Zana Bayne’s leather pieces. Yeah, you heard that right. I saw a post from zanabayne on Instagram, it said something like “Saweetie Scissorhands ️ A favorite from last year”, and I was instantly hooked.
So, I started by digging around. I mean, who wouldn’t be obsessed with that look? I remembered seeing another post, something like “Wearing Custom Zana Bayne Leather from Coachella to VMA’s, tours, festivals”. That got me thinking, this isn’t just a one-time thing, it’s a whole vibe.
First things first, I gotta get the materials. I spent a good chunk of time browsing through different kinds of leather, trying to match the quality and texture that I saw in the pictures. Trust me, it wasn’t easy. Then I went on a hunt for all the other stuff – buckles, straps, and all those little details that make the outfit pop. It felt like putting together a puzzle, but a really cool, edgy one. I had to make sure I didn’t miss any detail.
Then came the actual crafting part. I’m not gonna lie, it was a bit intimidating at first. I mean, I’m no professional designer, but I was determined to make it work. I laid out all the pieces, started cutting, sewing, and assembling. There were definitely some moments of frustration, and I had to redo a few parts, but I kept pushing. It was all about trial and error, really. It took me several days to adjust those details. I had to compare the pictures I found online again and again. After I confirmed it looked good, I moved to the next step.
After what felt like forever, I finally had something that resembled Saweetie’s outfit. Putting it on for the first time was such a rush. I felt like a total rockstar. I even managed to find some similar accessories to complete the look.
I snapped some photos, trying to capture the same energy as that original post from Zana Bayne. It’s not exactly the same, obviously, but I’m pretty damn proud of how it turned out. It’s amazing what you can achieve with a little bit of determination and a lot of creativity.
This whole project was such a blast. It was challenging, for sure, but it was also incredibly rewarding. I learned a ton about working with leather and bringing a vision to life. Plus, I got to pay homage to one of my favorite style icons. What more could you ask for?
So, yeah, that’s my Saweetie x Zana Bayne adventure. Hope you guys enjoyed this little journey. Stay tuned for more crazy projects, and don’t forget to keep it stylish!
