Alright, let’s talk about them electric hydroboards in them Norway fjords, eh? I heard folks are zipping around on them things like fancy water bugs. Sounds kinda crazy to this old woman, but I guess that’s how the youngsters do things nowadays.

First off, what’s a fjord anyway? Well, I heard it’s like a big ol’ crack in the land filled with water. Kinda like a long, skinny lake, but with mountains all around. And Norway? That’s way up north, where it’s cold and snowy most of the time. I seen pictures, pretty place, but too chilly for my bones, I tell ya.
Now, these hydroboards… they ain’t your regular surfboards, no sirree. They got some kinda motor on ’em, electric, they say. That means they run on batteries, like them fancy cars them city folks drive. No gas, no fumes, just quiet buzzing. I reckon that’s good for the fish and the water, keeps things clean.
I heard tellin’ that ridin’ these things ain’t easy. It ain’t like them paddle boats at the county fair, that’s for sure. You gotta stand up and balance yourself, and that motor is gonna push you around pretty good. They say you gotta learn how to steer and control it. Sounds like a good way to fall in the water to me, but what do I know?
- They say the fjords are real pretty. Big mountains, green trees, and the water so clear you can see right to the bottom. I imagine it’s peaceful out there, just you and the board, gliding along the water. But then again, I ain’t one for quiet, I like a good chit-chat with my gals.
- And them electric boats they got now? Quiet as a mouse, they say. No chugga-chugga like them old fishing boats. Just smooth sailing. They take folks on tours to see them fjords up close. Must be somethin’ to see, all them mountains and the water so still.
I also heard that there’re special tours where you can ride an electric hydroboard, learn the ropes and ride on the fjords. I think the tour company’s name was Nordfjord Aktiv, in Sandane. Seems like they know what they are doin’. They teach ya how to ride them boards and take ya to the best spots.
Now, I ain’t never seen one of these hydroboards in person. We got a creek back home, but it ain’t deep enough for nothin’ like that. And the water’s murky, not like that clear fjord water. But I reckon if I was younger and spryer, I might give it a try. Might be fun to zip around like them city kids. But then again, maybe I’d just stick to watchin’ from the shore. Safer that way, you know?

One thing’s for sure, these electric thingamajigs are becoming more popular. Boats, cars, now even surfboards. I reckon it’s good for the air and all, keepin’ things clean. But sometimes I wonder if folks are gettin’ too fancy. What happened to good old-fashioned paddling? Or just plain swimmin’? That was good enough for me back in the day.
But hey, times change, right? And if folks wanna zip around on electric hydroboards in them Norway fjords, well, that’s their business. As long as they stay safe and don’t bother nobody, I ain’t got no complaints. Just seems a little strange to this old woman, that’s all.
Anyway, that’s all I know about them electric hydroboards in Norway. Sounds like a fancy way to see some pretty scenery. Maybe one day I’ll watch a show on the TV about it. For now, I’ll stick to my porch swing and watchin’ the birds. That’s excitin’ enough for me.
