Well, let me tell ya, this whole “braless trend” thing, it’s somethin’ else. Folks these days, they do all sorts of things I don’t quite understand. But I see it everywhere now, young gals and even some older ones, just walkin’ around without a bra. Can ya believe it? Back in my day, you wouldn’t be caught dead without one. It was just somethin’ you did, like puttin’ on your shoes before you went outside.
Now, I ain’t sayin’ it’s good or bad, mind you. Just different. I reckon it’s all about bein’ comfortable, and who am I to say someone can’t be comfortable? If those young girls wanna let it all hang loose, well, that’s their business. It’s their body, ain’t it? They can do what they please with it. Though I do wonder sometimes if their mamas know what they’re up to.
- It makes me think, times sure have changed. We used to wear corsets, those tight things that squeezed the life outta ya. Now, they’re goin’ the opposite way, just lettin’ it all go free. I guess that’s progress, in a way. At least they can breathe easy, I s’pose.
- And the clothes they wear with no bras… sometimes it looks alright, I guess. Flowy dresses and such. But then you see ’em in those tight little tops, and well, it just ain’t somethin’ I’m used to seein’. But hey, it ain’t my place to judge. They ain’t hurtin’ nobody, just livin’ their lives.
I heard some folks sayin’ it’s a “fashion statement.” Now, I don’t know much about fashion, never did. But I reckon it means they’re tryin’ to say somethin’ with their clothes. Maybe they’re sayin’ they’re free spirits, or maybe they’re just sayin’ they don’t wanna wear a bra. Either way, it’s their message to send.
It ain’t just the young’uns either. I saw a woman the other day, must’ve been about my age, and she wasn’t wearin’ a bra neither. Now, that surprised me, I gotta say. But she looked happy enough, and that’s what matters, I guess. If it makes you happy, go for it, that’s what I always say. Even if it ain’t somethin’ I’d personally do.
I did see on the TV the other day, some fancy folks talkin’ about this “braless trend.” They were sayin’ it’s all about bein’ “liberated” and “comfortable.” Well, I guess that makes sense. We all wanna be comfortable, don’t we? And if gettin’ rid of that pesky bra makes you feel liberated, then more power to ya.
They also talked about how it’s showin’ up in all sorts of places, even in them fancy-schmancy fashion shows in Paris and New York. Them designers, they puttin’ models on the runway without bras, and everybody’s clappin’ and cheerin’. It’s a whole different world now, I tell ya. Things sure have changed since I was a young gal.
And you can even buy clothes now that are made for goin’ braless. They got special tops and dresses that are supposed to be supportive enough without needin’ a bra. I saw some of ’em advertised in the catalogue, though I can’t say I’d ever wear one myself. But then again, I’m an old lady, what do I know about fashion?
There are even some stores sellin’ bras that are supposed to feel like you ain’t wearin’ nothin’ at all. They call ’em “braless bras,” I think. Now, that sounds like a contradiction to me, but I guess it’s all about marketin’ these days. Anything to sell a product, right? If it makes you feel good and don’t cost too much, maybe it’s worth trying.
So, this “braless trend,” I reckon it’s here to stay for a while. It’s just one of them things, like them ripped jeans or them short shorts. Fashion changes, people change, and the world changes with it. And me? I’ll just keep on wearin’ my good old trusty bra, thank you very much. But that don’t mean I can’t appreciate that the young gals are doin’ their own thing. It’s their life, after all.
But you know, young folks always do things differently. And honestly, who am I to judge? As long as they are happy and ain’t hurtin’ nobody, let ’em do what they want. Life’s too short to worry about what other people are wearin’ or not wearin’ under their shirts. And if they ever ask my opinion, I’ll just tell ’em, “You do you, honey. Just make sure you’re comfortable and you’re happy.” That’s the most important thing, ain’t it?
