Alright, so today I’m gonna walk you through my little experiment with, well, Pedro Pascal and Dakota Johnson. Yeah, sounds random, I know, but stick with me.
It all started with me just messing around. I was trying to learn some new stuff, dabbling in face swapping, and I thought, “Hey, let’s see what happens if I mix these two faces together.” No deep reason, just pure curiosity.
First thing I did was grab a bunch of pictures. Like, a lot of pictures. I went scouring the web, getting different angles, different lighting, all that jazz. You gotta have good source material, or it’s just gonna look like a blurry mess.
Next up, I loaded all those pictures into my software. I’m using this open-source tool I found online, nothing fancy, but it gets the job done. Spent a good hour just marking facial features – eyes, nose, mouth, chin – you know, the whole shebang. Tedious work, but crucial.
Then came the fun part… or so I thought. I hit the “swap” button and… disaster. The first few tries looked like something out of a horror movie. Janky faces, weird textures, just plain awful. Turns out, you can’t just mash two faces together and expect it to look good. Who knew?
So, I started tweaking settings. Messed with the color correction, played around with the blending modes, adjusted the masks. It was a lot of trial and error, let me tell you. Hours disappeared. My apartment probably looked like a bomb went off with all the empty coffee cups and snack wrappers.
Eventually, after what felt like a million attempts, I started to get somewhere. The face was actually… recognizable. Still a little weird, a little uncanny valley, but progress! I kept tweaking, refining, smoothing out the edges.
Here’s what I learned along the way:
- Lighting is EVERYTHING. If the lighting doesn’t match, it’s gonna look fake.
- Blending is your best friend. Subtle is better.
- Don’t be afraid to start over. Seriously, some attempts were just unsalvageable.
Finally, I had something I was… okay with. It’s not perfect, not even close. But it was a fun experiment, and I learned a ton. Maybe I’ll try Chris Pratt and Zendaya next time, who knows?
Is there a point to all this? Probably not. Did I waste a whole day? Maybe. But hey, I learned something new, and that’s good enough for me.
