Okay, so I’ve been seeing this light blue nail polish trend everywhere, and I finally decided to give it a try. I’m not usually one for pastels, but there’s something about this color that just screams “spring” to me.

First things first, I prepped my nails. This is key, people! I pushed back my cuticles, filed my nails into a nice, even shape (I went for a rounded look this time), and buffed the surface a bit to help the polish stick.
Next up, the base coat. Don’t skip this step! It protects your nails and helps the color last longer. I just used a clear one I had lying around.
Finding the Perfect Shade
- Finding that perfect light blue was harder than I thought.
- I went to, like, three different drugstores.
- One was too baby blue, another had too much shimmer, and another looked almost gray.
I used two coats to get the perfect color. It’s important to let your nails fully dry in between coats.
Finally, I finished things off with a top coat. This adds shine and helps prevent chipping. I’m all about that long-lasting manicure life!
And that’s it! I’m actually really loving this light blue look. It’s subtle but still makes a statement. It’s made my hands feel a little brighter. I might be a pastel convert after all!
