Okay, so I was trying to find some good lesbian movies to watch, and let me tell you, it was a bit of a journey. I started by just googling “best lesbian movies,” and wow, there’s a lot out there! I was browsing through all these lists and reviews, trying to figure out which ones were actually worth watching.
My Watchlist
- “Love, Simon” – I saw this one mentioned as a good LGBTQ+ movie.
- “Desert Hearts” – Apparently, this one is a classic, so I figured I should give it a shot.
- Some movie with Dakota Johnson – I read that it’s about a woman who comes out as a lesbian in her 30s, which sounded interesting.
I started with “Desert Hearts” because it was on so many “best of” lists. It was okay, a bit old-fashioned, but you know, it had its charm.
Then I moved on to that movie with Dakota Johnson. It was pretty good! It felt more modern and relatable, especially the whole awkward dating scene part. It made me laugh a few times, and I liked how it showed the main character figuring things out.
I haven’t watched “Love, Simon” yet, but it’s still on my list. I also found out about this platform called “Tello” that has a bunch of lesbian holiday rom-coms. I might check that out when I’m in the mood for something light and cheesy.
Overall, it was cool to see so many different kinds of lesbian stories being told. There’s definitely more out there than I realized. I’m excited to keep exploring and finding more great movies to watch. It’s a good time to be a fan of lesbian cinema!
