Okay, so, today I messed around with the Nakes V4S. Yeah, the name sounds a bit weird, but it’s a cool thing. It’s like a skateboard, but electric, you know? It’s pretty popular this year. I got my hands on one and spent the whole day playing with it.

First off, this thing is heavy! And the wheels, man, they’re thick. Way thicker than a regular skateboard. So, turning isn’t as smooth. I tried loosening and tightening the trucks, but it didn’t make a huge difference. It’s just something you gotta get used to, I guess.

Then I started reading some stuff. Apparently, there’s a user manual for this thing. I found one for the 2021 model, and another for the 2023 model. There is even a 2024 version. But they are all about motorcycles? I am confused. Anyway, I tried to find some information on the internet.

I found a forum, some guy was talking about editing the firmware. I don’t know how to edit that stuff, also I do not have the tool. What he was talking about was a keyboard? That is not what I was looking for.

I also saw some guys talking about MotoGP bikes, and some weird “aero fins” on them. But, again, I’m playing with a skateboard, not a race bike. What are they talking about?

I even tried to find a support request on their website, but I could not. I’m totally lost, but I guess I will figure it out. It’s a cool electric skateboard, even though it’s a bit different than what I expected.

I rode it around the park, and it was fun! The speed is pretty good, and it goes pretty far on a single charge. I did not test the range, but I rode for hours. I will charge it overnight.

The board feels really solid, though. Like, it’s well-made. It’s not some cheap toy. I think it will last a long time. But I wish it could turn better.

Here are some things I did today:

  • Tried to ride the board.
  • Tried to read the manual, but it was all about bikes.
  • Tried to find something on the internet.
  • Rode the board around the park.
  • Charged it for the next use.

My conclusion

It was a fun experiment, but I need to learn more about how to properly use it. Maybe I’ll find some helpful videos. Or maybe I’ll just keep riding it and figure it out as I go. We’ll see!
