Okay, so, the Met Gala, right? Huge deal, everyone’s watching, and Kylie Jenner’s always one to, like, make a splash. This year was no different. I got curious after seeing all the posts online, so I decided to do a little digging and, you know, see what the whole buzz was about.
Getting Started
First thing I did was just look up pictures. I mean, that’s the fun part, right? Seeing what everyone wore. I saw a bunch of photos of Kylie in this…interesting…outfit. Some people loved it, some people hated it. Typical Met Gala stuff.
Diving Deeper
Then I started reading some articles. Turns out, the theme this year was “Sleeping Beauty: Reawakening Fashion” but the dress code was “The Garden of Time”. Confusing, I know. I had to reread that a few times to make sense of it. Anyway, last year Kylie wore this red dress. It was made by this Haider Ackermann guy, working with Jean Paul Gaultier. Apparently, they had some kind of midnight swim memory, and that inspired the dress? That’s what one article said, anyway. I did a side eye at that, to be honest.
Putting It All Together
So, with this year’s theme, people were expecting some, like, floral, flowy, fairy-tale type stuff. And Kylie’s outfit…wasn’t really that, I don’t know how to describe it. I read so many comment about this outfit, the opinions are too diverse. One thing’s for sure, she definitely got people talking, just like she always does. I guess that’s the point, right?
My Thoughts
Honestly, I’m not a fashion expert or anything. I just thought it was interesting to see how much of a reaction Kylie Jenner gets every year at the Met Gala. Whether you love her outfit or hate it, you can’t deny she knows how to make an entrance. And I had fun going down this little rabbit hole, reading about the themes and the designers. It’s a whole world I don’t really know much about, but it’s kind of fascinating.
That’s pretty much it. Just wanted to share my little Met Gala deep dive. It was fun, and now I have, like, a million tabs open on my computer about fashion designers I’ve never heard of. Maybe I’ll do this again next year!
