I’ve been experimenting with different photography styles lately, and the other day, I decided to recreate some of Kendall Jenner’s nude photoshoots. I know, I know, it sounds a bit wild, but hear me out. I was scrolling through Instagram, and I stumbled upon these artsy shots of her, and I thought, “Why not give it a try?”
So, I cleared out my living room, trying to find a similar backdrop to what I saw in her pictures. In one, she was lying on this peach-colored towel, looking all carefree and natural. I didn’t have a peach towel, but I did find an old, light-orange blanket that kinda did the trick. I spread it out on the floor, grabbed my phone, and tried to mimic her pose. It was harder than it looked! I had to keep checking the photo on my phone to make sure I was getting the angle right. It took a few tries, but I finally got a shot I was pretty happy with.
Then, I moved on to another one of her photos where she was in a shower setting. I set up my phone on a tripod in my bathroom, turned on the shower, and stood under the stream of water. I didn’t want to go completely bare like Kendall did, so I kept on some bottoms. It was a bit tricky to get the lighting right, but I managed to capture a few decent shots. It felt a bit silly at first, standing there, trying to look all model-like, but it was actually pretty fun.
- First, I gathered all the props I needed.
- Then, I set up my phone to take the pictures.
- I studied Kendall’s poses and tried to copy them.
- It took a lot of adjusting and retaking photos to get it right.
- Finally, I reviewed the pictures and picked the best ones.
There were some pictures by a photographer named Mert Alas, all in black and white. I tried to recreate those too, converting my photos to black and white on my phone. It gave them a whole different vibe, more dramatic and artistic. It was interesting to see how different lighting and filters could change the mood of a photo so much.
The whole process
Honestly, the whole process was more challenging than I expected. It’s not just about taking off your clothes and snapping a picture. There’s a lot of thought that goes into the posing, the lighting, the composition, and the overall mood of the photo. I have a newfound respect for models and photographers who do this for a living. It’s definitely an art form.
At the end of the day, I ended up with a bunch of photos that were, well, interesting, to say the least. Some of them were actually pretty good, while others were just hilarious. But hey, it was a fun experiment, and I got to step out of my comfort zone for a bit. Would I do it again? Maybe. But next time, I might try something a bit less… revealing. Or maybe not, who knows? Life’s too short to not have a little fun, right?
