Okay, so the other day I was at the grocery store, and I saw these Chinese mitten crabs. I’d heard about them, but never actually seen them in person. They looked kinda cool, so I got curious about how much they cost.
First, I just grabbed my phone and did a quick Google search. You know, just typed in “Chinese mitten crab price”. I saw some articles and stuff, but nothing that really gave me a straight answer, prices varied a lot.
Digging a Little Deeper
So, I decided to check some online Asian grocery stores. I figured they’d be more likely to have them, and maybe have prices listed. I went to a few different websites. It was kinda hit or miss. Some had them, some didn’t. Some had prices, some just said “inquire for price”. Annoying!

Honestly, it’s still a little confusing! It seems like the price of Chinese mitten crabs really depends on where you buy them, the time of year, if they sell online, and maybe even the size of the crabs, and so many reasons.
My searching give me a rough idea, I’d say you’re probably looking at somewhere, but it could be more or less depending on all those factors. I guess the only way to know for sure is to check with your local stores or find a reliable online seller.
