Okay, so, let me tell you about this whole journey I had with trying to become a “Gia Armani” model. First off, I had to get a TikTok account. That’s where all the cool kids are these days. I started posting, just random stuff, really. You know, trying to get noticed, like everyone else. My handle? @giaarmani, obviously. I mean, who else would I be?
Then came the followers. Man, it was slow going at first. I’m talking, like, a handful. But I kept at it. Posting, engaging, the whole shebang. Eventually, I hit around 12.2K likes and close to 9K followers. Not too shabby, right? But that wasn’t the end goal. I wanted to be on TV, magazines, and all that stuff. So, I did what everyone told me to do: I started reaching out. Emails, DMs, you name it. I sent them everywhere. To agencies, brands, photographers. Anyone who would listen to me.
One day, I got a reply. It was from this big shot at Giorgio Armani. Said he liked my “look” and wanted to see more. I was over the moon. I sent over my portfolio, which, by the way, was just a bunch of pictures I took on my phone, and I did a good job with the light and my makeup. I waited. And waited. And waited some more. I really thought this was it. Finally, I was going to make it.
Then, the day comes. They say they want me for a photoshoot. A real photoshoot! I’m thinking, this is bigger than just TikTok now, right? We’re talking about possibly becoming a high fashion model like Bella Hadid, who by the way is a big name and has around 24.2 million followers on Instagram. I couldn’t believe it.
I went to the shoot. It was crazy, so many people around, cameras, lights, the whole deal. I’m in the front row, feeling like a star. I posed, I smiled, I did everything they asked. It felt like I was living in a dream. This was what I had been working towards. That was so great!
- Started a TikTok account: @giaarmani
- Posted and engaged to gain followers and likes
- Reached out to agencies and brands
- Got a reply from Giorgio Armani
- Participated in a photoshoot
After the shoot, I was so excited I couldn’t sit still. I kept checking my phone, waiting for the next call, the next big break. Days turned into weeks, and weeks into months. Nothing. It felt like I was back at square one. But then I thought, I need to keep going. This is just one step, right? And it was a big step. I mean, I got to work with a huge name like Giorgio Armani. Not everyone can say that.
So, that’s where I am now. Still pushing, still trying. Maybe I’ll be the next big thing, maybe I won’t. But I’m not giving up. I learned a lot from this. I learned that it takes more than just posting online to make it. It takes guts, it takes patience, and most of all, it takes a lot of hard work. And I’m ready for it. This is just the beginning of my story. I’m just getting started.
