Okay, so I’ve been totally obsessed with the Alexander McQueen S/S 2022 collection lately. I mean, who hasn’t? The whole “London Skies” theme, the dramatic silhouettes…it’s just breathtaking. So, I decided to do a deep dive and really study the collection, piece by piece.
First, I opened up my trusty laptop and pulled up every image I could find of the show. Runway shots, close-ups, backstage photos – you name it, I grabbed it. I wanted to soak it all in.
Then, I started to organize my thoughts. I created a new document on my computer and began to jot down my initial impressions. What were the key colors? The dominant shapes? What kind of fabrics did they use?
- Colors: Lots of sky blues, storm grays, and that striking, almost electric, yellow.
- Shapes: Big, bold shoulders, cinched waists, and flowing skirts. There was a real contrast between structured and fluid pieces.
- Mood: I started to save photos show my mood.
Next, I dug into the details. I zoomed in on those incredible embroidered dresses, trying to figure out the techniques used. I examined the tailoring, noticing how precisely everything was cut and constructed.
Trying on clothes
After getting a good grasp of the collection, I plan to try on several pieces of clothing. I chose them one by one, carefully feeling the texture and weight of the fabric with my hands. I tried them on, carefully observing the shape and fit of the dress on my body in front of the mirror.
I took a step back and reviewed everything. I think I finally had great photos.
It was a really cool experience, I really like this collection.
