Alright, so I saw this thing online about Kylie Jenner modeling and thought, “Why not give it a shot?” I mean, I’ve always been kind of into fashion and makeup, but never really tried to seriously model, you know? So I decided to go for it, just to see how it felt and what I could learn.

First thing I did was look up some of Kylie’s most famous modeling shots. I studied her poses, her facial expressions, the whole vibe. She’s got this cool, confident look that I really wanted to try and capture.
Then, I started practicing in front of the mirror. I tried to copy her poses, tilted my head the way she does, and worked on my “smize” – you know, smiling with your eyes. It felt pretty awkward at first, I’m not gonna lie. But I kept at it. It was a good start to keep trying. I recorded videos of myself, watched them back, and adjusted my movements.
Next, I decided to do a little photoshoot. I picked out some outfits from my closet that I thought had a similar feel to what Kylie wears. Nothing fancy, just some stuff I already had.
- I put on a tight black dress, kind of like one I saw her wear in a magazine.
- I did my makeup, trying to go for a dramatic look with smoky eyes and a bold lip. It took me a couple of tries to get the eyeliner right, but I think I nailed it in the end.
I set up my phone on a tripod and used the self-timer to take pictures. I posed in different spots around my apartment, trying to get good lighting and interesting backgrounds. It was actually kind of fun, once I got into it.
The Results
After I took a bunch of photos, I looked through them and picked out a few that I thought were the best. Honestly, some of them turned out pretty cool! I managed to capture some of that Kylie Jenner vibe, at least I think so.

This whole experience was pretty eye-opening. It’s definitely not as easy as it looks, and I have a new appreciation for professional models. But it was a fun experiment, and I feel like I learned a lot about posing, lighting, and just generally how to work the camera. Might even do it again sometime!
