Rocking the Korean Hairstyle Medium Hair: Quick Guide to Get a Perfect Look

Alright, so, I’ve been messing around with my hair lately, trying to get that trendy Korean hairstyle look, you know, the medium-length one that’s all the rage these days. Let me tell you, it’s been quite the journey. Here’s how I did it.

Rocking the Korean Hairstyle Medium Hair: Quick Guide to Get a Perfect Look

First off, I started by doing some digging around to see what’s popular. I noticed a lot of guys rocking this wavy, kinda messy but still put-together look. I have straight hair, so I knew I had some work to do.

Getting the Cut

Went to my barber and showed him a few pictures of what I was going for. We decided to keep the back a bit longer and go for those leaf-shaped bangs in the front. The key was to make sure it wasn’t too long all around, just enough to give it some style without looking like a mop.

Styling Adventures

  • Shampooed and conditioned my hair. I even tried that rice water rinse thing I read about online. Honestly, not sure if it did much, but my hair felt softer, so that’s a win.
  • Used a leave-in serum. My hair’s pretty straight and tends to get frizzy, so this helped keep it smooth.
  • Now, for the fun part – styling. I got myself a curling iron, watched a few tutorials, and started experimenting. I curled big sections of my hair to get that natural, “I woke up like this” look. It took a few tries, but I think I’m getting the hang of it.
  • Tried braiding my bangs across the crown of my head and pinning them just above my ear. It looked kinda cute, but it’s not really my everyday style.

Keeping it Healthy

One thing I learned is that Koreans are big on hair care. I switched to a silk pillowcase to avoid messing up my hair while I sleep. Apparently, it causes less friction than cotton, so less breakage and split ends.

Avoided overdoing the heat styling. I don’t want to fry my hair, so I’m trying to find a balance between styling and keeping it healthy.

All in all, it’s been a fun experiment. My hair definitely looks different, and I’m enjoying the new style. It’s not perfect yet, but I’m getting there. Plus, I’ve learned a lot about hair care in the process. Who knew there was so much to it?

If you’re thinking about trying out a Korean hairstyle, I say go for it. Just be prepared to put in some effort, especially if your hair is naturally straight like mine. And don’t be afraid to experiment – that’s half the fun!
