Okay, so I’ve been wanting to try out this drake braids thing for a while now, and I finally did it! It’s a pretty cool style, and honestly, not as hard as I thought it would be.

First, I had to get my hair ready. My hair was a mess, super tangled. I spent a good chunk of time just brushing it out. I used my favorite detangling brush and worked from the bottom up.
Preparation
- Brushed out my hair like crazy.
- Got all the knots out, which took a while.
Then, I got to braiding. I watched a couple of videos online, just to get an idea. I know how to do a basic braid, so it wasn’t totally new to me. I sectioned my hair. I started by creating several rows from front to back. And then I further divided the rows into several parts. I tried to make the sections as even as possible, but you know, it’s not like I’m a professional or anything. After that, I did the braids for each part of my hair. It took me a few tries to get the hang of it. I kept messing up and had to start over. My arms got pretty tired, holding them up for so long.
Braiding
- Watched some videos to figure it out.
- Divided my hair into sections.
- Did some basic three-strand braids.
- Messed up a few times, but I kept going.
Finally, I finished! It took me, like, almost two hours, not gonna lie. But it was worth it. My braids looked pretty decent, if I do say so myself. They weren’t perfect, but hey, it was my first time. I rocked those braids for a good while. It was awesome not having to do much to my hair every day. It’s a great style if you want something different and don’t want to fuss with your hair all the time.
Result
- Took forever, but I finished!
- My braids looked pretty good.
- It was low-maintenance, which I loved.
So yeah, that’s my drake braids adventure. It was fun, a little challenging, but definitely something I’d try again. Maybe next time I’ll get even better at it!
