Okay, so, bloomers. I’ve been seeing them all over my social media feeds lately. They’re kind of like shorts, but kind of like a skirt, too? I got curious. I don’t know. I wanted to see if they’d actually look good on someone like me, you know, an average person, not a model. Not a tall girl. So I got to try and see.
First, I went online and looked at a bunch of pictures. Some people were wearing them with boots, some with heels. Some bloomers looked super short, others were longer. It was kind of overwhelming, to be honest. But I noticed that high-waisted styles seemed to be a good idea. Something that helps define the waist and make the legs look longer. Okay.
Then I hit the stores. This store called Free People, I found it online, has a ton of different bloomers. I tried on a few pairs. One was like bike shorts but a little looser. I think I could actually wear these under a skirt or maybe a dress. Another pair was longer, kind of like those pedal pushers, but they still had that flowy bloomer vibe.
Next, I experimented with different tops. A simple T-shirt looked pretty good, especially when I tucked it in. I could see what people meant about creating that waist definition. I also tried a sleeveless top, and that worked too. I guess the key is to avoid anything too baggy or oversized on top.
My Honest Takeaway
- Bloomers can totally work, even if you’re not super tall.
- High-waisted styles are your friend. Seriously.
- Keep the top simple and fitted. It’s all about balance.
- Try on different lengths and styles. Don’t be afraid to experiment.
I’m actually surprised. I kind of like them. They’re comfy, they’re a little different, and I think they’re kind of cute. I mean, I wouldn’t wear them to a fancy dinner or something. But for a casual day out? Definitely. I’m pretty happy that I tried. You can also try if you are interested. They are really cute, especially for little girls, I think.
So, yeah, that’s my bloomer experiment. Let me know what you think!
