This cars daytona, you know, it’s a big deal. Lots of folks go to see it. They say it’s the biggest race, the most important one they got. Started way back, I heard, back in 1959. Every year, they do it in February.

That place, Daytona, it’s in Florida, where it’s always warm. They got a big track there, goes round and round. Cars go real fast, 200 laps they do. And each lap is long, real long, two and a half miles. Them cars go like lightning, I tell ya. Zoom!
If you go, wear somethin’ that fits the weather. If it’s sunny, wear a hat. If it’s cold, bundle up. And get them earplugs. Them cars are loud, make your ears ring. Better get a scanner, too. That way you can hear what them drivers and their folks are sayin’.
Cars Daytona Big Day
Get there early, that’s what they say. Lots to see before the race even starts. They got this place, Fan Zone, sounds fancy. Supposed to be fun for kids, too.

This cars daytona race, it’s the first one of the year. Most things, you know, they have the big stuff at the end. Not this one. They start the year with a bang.
Cars Daytona Points
They got these points, see. Drivers get points for how good they do. This race, you get the same points as any other race, but it’s still special, bein’ the first and all.
They do it in stages, like when you’re bakin’ a cake. Three stages. And the driver in front, he gets points, too. If the weather turns bad, or somethin’ happens, and they gotta stop, whoever’s in the lead after 100 laps, or after the second stage, that’s who wins.
Lots of cars, all different colors. They go so fast, it’s a blur. People cheerin’, wavin’ flags. It’s a sight, that cars daytona.
Cars Daytona Big Crowd
If you like cars, and you like races, this is the one to see. Everybody says so. The Great American Race, they call it. Sounds important, don’t it? I reckon it is important to those drivers. They work hard to get there. Cars daytona is a dream for them drivers, I bet.
Lots of folks watchin’, on TV, too. Millions, probably. It’s a big deal, this race. Bigger than a county fair, that’s for sure.
I seen it on TV a few times. Looks excitin’. All them cars, all that speed. And the crashes, Lord have mercy. Hope nobody gets hurt, but it happens. Part of the race, I guess.
Cars Daytona Winner
The winner, he gets a big trophy. And a lot of money, too. Enough to buy a whole farm, probably. And his name goes down in history. He’s the cars daytona winner. That’s somethin’ special.
So, if you ever get the chance, go see that cars daytona. It’s somethin’ to behold. All them cars, all that speed, all them people. It’s a real spectacle, as they say. I think everyone should see cars daytona at least once in their life.
And if you can’t go, watch it on TV. It’s almost as good. Almost. But you can’t feel the rumble of them engines on TV. You can’t smell the gasoline and the burnt rubber. You gotta be there for that. Cars daytona is the best. You should see it. But if you go to the race, be sure to take care of yourself. Wear comfortable shoes. You’ll be walking a lot. And bring some water. It gets hot out there, even in February. The drivers must be real hot in them cars. I don’t know how they do it. But they do. They’re professionals. Cars daytona is their life.
I’ve seen a lot of things in my life, but that cars daytona, that’s somethin’ else. It’s a show, that’s what it is. A big show. And everyone’s invited. I think I will go next year, if I’m able. I’ll ask my grandson to take me. He likes cars. He’ll love the race. I hope he will take good care of me there. I’m not as young as I used to be. But I can still enjoy a good race. Especially the cars daytona.
