Alright, let’s gab about this Kate Moss gal, the one they say is a big deal in them fashion magazines. I ain’t no expert, mind you, just a regular person, but even I heard about her. They say she’s a “supermodel,” whatever that means. Sounds fancy, like somethin’ you’d find in a Sears catalog, only pricier.
Kate Moss, huh? Born in 1974, same year my Bessie got married. Time flies, don’t it? This Kate, she weren’t even a grown woman when folks started makin’ a fuss over her. They say she got “discovered” in some airport when she was just a young’un, like 14 or somethin’. Imagine that! Most kids that age are busy milkin’ cows or helpin’ their ma in the kitchen, not posin’ for pictures.
Now, I ain’t seen much of her movies, to be honest. I’m more of a Gunsmoke and Bonanza kinda gal. But I reckon she’s been in a few things. They say she’s more famous for bein’ a model, though. You know, the kind that wears fancy clothes and walks back and forth on them runways. Seems like a funny way to make a livin’, but hey, to each their own.

But she’s still around, still in the magazines and on the TV. Guess that’s what happens when you’re a “cultural icon,” whatever that is. Sounds important, like somethin’ they’d put in a museum.
I heard tell she was part of some “heroin chic” trend back in the 90s. Now, I don’t know nothin’ about that, sounds kinda dangerous to me. But folks were talkin’ about it, that’s for sure. Fashion folks, they’re always comin’ up with somethin’ new, ain’t they? Hard to keep up, I tell ya.
