Okay, so I was messing around with AI image generation today, and I got this idea to try and recreate some iconic looks. I’ve always been a huge fan of Sarah Jessica Parker, especially her style in the early days, so I thought, “Why not try to generate some images of a ‘young Sarah Jessica Parker’?”

I started by firing up my favorite AI image generator. I won’t name any names, but it’s one of the popular ones you’ve probably heard of. Initially, I just typed in “young Sarah Jessica Parker” and hit enter. The results? Well, let’s just say they were… interesting.
- Some of them looked vaguely like her, but with that weird, uncanny valley vibe that AI sometimes produces. You know, like a wax figure that’s been left out in the sun too long.
- Others were just completely off. Like, I’m pretty sure one of them gave me a blonde woman with completely different facial features.
- A few were just plain creepy. Eyes in the wrong place, extra limbs… the usual AI glitches.
So, I realized I needed to be way more specific. I started adding more details to my prompts. I tried things like:
- “young Sarah Jessica Parker, 1980s, curly hair”
- “Sarah Jessica Parker as a teenager, natural lighting”
- “young SJP, wearing a denim jacket, smiling”
- “young Sarah Jessica Parker, candid photo, new york city,80s style”
These more detailed prompts definitely helped! The images started to look more like the SJP I had in mind. The curly hair was key, and specifying the 1980s seemed to help the AI understand the overall aesthetic I was going for. The “candid photo” addition also seemed to make a difference, giving the images a more natural, less posed feel.
Getting the Details Right
Even with the improved prompts, I still had to do some tweaking. I spent a good hour just experimenting with different word combinations.
For Example I tried:

- add “high resolution” for details.
- adjust the aspect ratio.
- and regenerate the image multiple times.
It was a lot of trial and error. Some images were still duds, but I started to get a few that I was really happy with. They captured that youthful, carefree energy that SJP had back in the day. It’s not perfect, of course, but it’s pretty darn close for an AI!
The whole process was a good reminder that AI image generation is still a work in progress. You really need to guide it and be patient. But when you hit the right combination of words, it’s pretty amazing what you can create.
