Okay, so I’ve been getting into bowling lately, and I decided it was time to get my own ball. I did some digging around and kept seeing the “Kingpin” mentioned, so I figured I’d give it a shot. Here’s how it went down:

The Hunt Begins
First things first, I needed to actually find one. I started by looking for bowling product.
After I got it, I have to find a way to my home.
Finally I got it with all package.
Getting it Drilled
He took some measurements of my hand, span, and fingers. Asked me a bunch of questions about my bowling style (which, let’s be honest, is still “developing”). We talked about what kind of reaction I wanted from the ball. I just told him I wanted something that would hook, because, you know, hooking is cool.
Hitting the Lanes
Finally, the moment of truth! Took my new Kingpin to the alley. I gotta say, the thing looked sweet. All shiny and new.

- First throw: Gutter ball. Classic me. Nerves, I guess.
- Second throw: Still finding my feet.
- Third throw: I could feel the ball gripping the lane and then…BAM! Strike!
I was not professional player, but the feeling is amazing!
My Verdict (So Far)
It’s still early days, but I’m really liking the Kingpin. I definitely need more practice to get consistent, it is important to find a ball that fit you!
