Okay, so I was looking into something a little different today, going way back to 2009 with Ariana Grande. It’s wild to see how much she’s changed, right? So, I started digging into this whole thing, and it got pretty interesting.
Getting Started
First off, I started with what I already kinda knew: Ariana was on that Nickelodeon show, “Victorious”. I remembered she had that bright red hair, so I began to gather all the info I could about her from around that time. I looked up old interviews, photoshoots, and any behind-the-scenes stuff I could find.
Diving Deeper
- I found out that she was cast in “Victorious” along with Elizabeth Gillies, who was also on “13” with her.
- Her character, Cat Valentine, was this “adorably dimwitted” girl, and to play her, Ariana had to dye her hair red like every other week. Apparently, that really messed up her hair.
- I also stumbled upon some old pictures from, like, the 2009 AFI Festival. She looked so different, it’s crazy!
Figuring Out the Hair Situation
So, about that red hair… It turns out, all that dyeing was a big deal. I read this Facebook post from way back in 2014 where Ariana explained that her hair was so damaged from the show that she had to start wearing it up in that ponytail all the time. That’s how her signature look was born! It wasn’t even on purpose, it was more like, she had to do it because her hair was fried.
Connecting the Dots
Then I started to piece together other stuff. Like, she wasn’t just on “Victorious”, but also on “iCarly” and then “Sam & Cat”, always playing Cat Valentine. It’s like Nickelodeon really loved that character. During this time, I also learned that she recorded her first studio album and had that song “The Way” with Mac Miller. I even watched a short documentary where she had this bright red hair in a high ponytail, that classic Cat Valentine style.
Wrapping It Up
So, after all this digging, it’s pretty clear that 2009 was a huge year for Ariana. She landed this big role, started her music career, and even set the stage for her iconic ponytail look. It’s kinda cool to see how all these things came together back then. She’s changed a lot since those days, but it’s fun to look back and see where it all began. Also, I noticed that in 2016, she began to look different with cat eyeliner, that’s so interesting. It’s crazy how one role can totally change someone’s life, right?
