Okay, so I’ve been totally obsessed with Kate Middleton’s style lately. I mean, who isn’t? She always looks so polished and put-together, but in a way that feels approachable, you know? So, I decided to do a deep dive and really figure out how to recreate some of her iconic looks. This is what I did!
My Kate Middleton Outfit Recreation Journey
First, I spent hours scrolling through Pinterest and Google Images. I literally just typed in “Kate Middleton outfits” and went down the rabbit hole. I saved a bunch of pictures of outfits I loved – everything from her casual jeans-and-a-top looks to her more formal dresses and coats.
Then, I started to break down the elements of each outfit. Like, what were the key pieces? What colors and patterns was she wearing? What kind of shoes and accessories did she pair with each look?
Here’s what I noticed:
- Lots of solid colors: She wears a lot of blues, greens, reds, and whites. Not a ton of crazy prints.
- Classic silhouettes: Think A-line dresses, tailored coats, and fitted trousers. Nothing too trendy or out-there.
- Simple accessories: She often wears delicate necklaces, stud earrings, and her signature sapphire engagement ring. And, of course, a good clutch or handbag.
- Repeat offender!:It is true! She wears the same pieces of clothing again! I have seen it on several different occasions.
After that, I went through my own closet to see what I already had that could work. I was surprised to find a few pieces that were pretty similar to things Kate has worn – like a navy blazer, a white button-down shirt, and some dark-wash skinny jeans.
Next, I made a list of the items I was missing. I knew I needed a good trench coat, a pair of nude pumps (her go-to!), and maybe a few more dresses in those classic shapes. I did not go to the mall, I opened my favorite shop online.
Finally, I put it all together! I tried on different combinations, mixing and matching until I felt like I had captured that Kate Middleton vibe. It was actually really fun, and I felt surprisingly chic!
It’s not about copying her exactly, but about getting inspired by her style and making it my own. That is what I did.
