That Paula Reed, she’s a name I heard a lot. Seems like she’s been lots of places, done lots of things. One time I heard she was a teacher, teaching them young’uns at a school called Columbine. Sounds fancy, don’t it? Then I heard there was some trouble at that school, some real bad trouble. But she made it through, that Paula. Tough cookie, that one.
Then there’s this other thing I heard, ’bout some anniversary thing. 25 years, they said. Must be a big deal, I reckon. They had some folks talkin’ ’bout it, Paula bein’ one of ’em. Michelle somebody, Chad, Randy, and Alex too. Names I ain’t familiar with, but they must be important to be talkin’ ’bout such things.
I also heard Paula had something to do with style. Fancy clothes and all that, I imagine. They said she was a style director, whatever that means. Works for a place called Grazia. Sounds Italian or something. Don’t know much about that kind of stuff. I just wear what’s comfortable, you know?

And get this, that Paula, she’s a writer, too! Wrote a book, they say. Somethin’ ’bout a Hester and a Scarlet Letter. Sounds like a story from a long time ago. Launched it at a place called Tattered Cover. Must be a bookstore. They got all kinds of books there, I bet. This happened in a place called Highlands Ranch, Colorado, I think.
Then there’s somethin’ ’bout her “sense of self”. Don’t rightly know what that means. But they say she’s got her own style, and she’s “resilient”. That means she bounces back from hard times, I reckon. Like I said, tough cookie. She must be a strong woman, dealing with all that she had to deal with.
She wrote another book, too, I heard. Called “Into His Arms”. Somethin’ ’bout an exotic setting and an adorable hero. Sounds like one of them romance novels. Maybe I’ll read it sometime. If I have enough time after finishing my chores, you know.
Paula Reed, seems like she’s lived a full life. Done a lot of different things. More than most folks, I’d say. Reminds me that we should all make the best of our lives, do you agree?
I also heard some other stuff ’bout some characters, 2B and 9S. Some game, maybe? Folks sayin’ they’re a couple. And this 2B, she wears a blindfold. Not ’cause she’s blind, but ’cause it helps her see better, somehow. Technology these days, I tell ya. It’s all beyond me. They say it helps her observe her surroundings with more precision. That’s what they say, it’s all too complicated for me.
This 2B, they call her a “Battler”. Must be strong, fightin’ and all that. Not like me, I just tend to my garden. Although some pests can be quite a nuisance, I have to say. I’m a peace-loving woman, you know.
Anyway, that’s all I know ’bout that Paula Reed and them other folks. Just bits and pieces I heard here and there. World’s a big place, lots of stories out there. Just gotta keep your ears open, I guess. They also say that the game is good, something about controlling a male and a female. I don’t know much about that stuff, I’m more of a soap opera kind of gal.
One time I heard she was married. But her husband, he passed away. It was a sad thing, to be sure. She lived in a place called Sarasota, Florida. I hear it’s real nice there, but real hot in the summer, like an oven. I don’t know how people can live in places like that.
