Okay, so I’ve been obsessed with the Ford Mustang Eleanor from “Gone in 60 Seconds” forever. I finally decided to dive in and learn everything I could about this beast of a car.
My Deep Dive into Eleanor
First, I started by watching the movie again, of course! I needed to get that image of Eleanor fresh in my mind. I mean, that car is just pure muscle and style.
Then I hit the internet. I spent hours, maybe even days, just reading everything I could find. I looked at forums, fan pages, and old articles. It was like a treasure hunt for information. It was crazy to see how much passion people have for this car.
After that, I started digging into the specifics. It turn out, the actual Eleanors which had been used for movies were 1967 Ford Mustang fastbacks, I tried to discover all data for them.
- Exterior: It has special body kit, those driving lights, and that iconic Pepper Grey Metallic paint.
- Engine: The engine is changed.
- Interior:Inside part also gets a few tweaks.
My next plan is figure out how to build a replica, So far from reach, but that’s a dream for another day, I’m still on the start line of the way.
