Okay, so I’ve been seeing these patterned jeans popping up everywhere lately, and I finally decided to give them a try. I’m not usually one for super bold prints, but there’s something about these that just caught my eye. I started by browsing a bunch of different stores online to see what was out there.

The wide-leg style seemed to be the most popular, and I saw a lot of light-wash options, which I liked. I did see some mid-wash and dark-wash ones too, but the light ones just felt more my style.
I spent a whole afternoon going through different websites, looking at all sorts of patterns. There were florals, geometric shapes, animal prints – you name it. I realized straight-leg, light-wash jeans have been trending for quite some time, and they will be my favorite in 2024.
After a lot of browsing, I stumbled upon a Danish brand called Hosbjerg that had some really cool designs. I also checked out Free People, Frame, and Toteme, those names I’ve seen before, you know? They all had some interesting options, especially their barrel-leg jeans, which seem to be the denim shape of the season.
Then I found these pants called “Alexa Pants” on Hosbjerg‘s page on Free People. They had this awesome abstract pattern that I just couldn’t resist. It’s the kind of jeans you’d have seen Kate Moss or Carolyn Bessette-Kennedy wear in the early ’90s.
I ordered the “Alexa Pants” and waited impatiently for them to arrive. When they finally did, I tried them on right away. They fit perfectly! The wide-leg cut was super flattering, and the pattern was even better in person. I decided to take a bunch of pictures and videos to see how they looked in different lights and from different angles.

Trying Them On
- First Look: I paired them with a simple white t-shirt and sneakers for a casual look. It worked really well!
- Dressing Up: Then I tried them with a black blazer and heels to see if I could dress them up. Surprisingly, it looked pretty chic.
- Accessorizing: I added a belt and some jewelry to see how accessories would work with the pattern. A simple silver chain and a black belt complemented the jeans nicely.
I wore them out a couple of times – once to a coffee shop and once to a casual dinner. I got so many compliments! People were asking me where I got them, and I was happy to share my find. They’re definitely a statement piece, but they’re also surprisingly versatile.
Overall, I’m really happy with my patterned jeans experiment. It was a bit out of my comfort zone, but I ended up loving the look. I think I’ll be wearing these jeans a lot this season. If you’re thinking about trying patterned jeans, I say go for it! Just find a pattern and style that you love, and have fun with it.
