Alright, so I saw those pictures of Megan Fox going blonde, and I thought, “Okay, I gotta try that.” Looked cool, different, you know? Seemed like a fun change.

Getting Started
First thing, I spent way too long scrolling through pictures. She’s had a few different blonde looks, right? I kinda settled on that really bright, almost platinum blonde she had for a bit. Saved a bunch of pics on my phone.
Then came the big question: try it myself or go to a pro? My hair is pretty dark naturally. Bleaching dark hair at home? Sounded like a recipe for orange disaster, or worse, my hair just breaking off. Nah, decided this needed someone who actually knew what they were doing.
The Salon Adventure
Finding a salon wasn’t too bad. Asked a couple of friends, looked at some local places online, found one that seemed decent with color work. Booked an appointment.
Went in, showed the stylist the pictures. She took one look at my dark hair and was like, “Okay, doable, but this is gonna take time and multiple steps. Your hair will need some serious bleaching.” We talked about damage, keeping it healthy-ish, the whole deal. She seemed to know her stuff, so I just said, “Let’s do it.”
The Process Itself:

- Sat in that chair for what felt like forever. Seriously, hours.
- First round of bleach went on. That stuff has a strong smell, man. Made my eyes water a bit.
- My scalp started tingling. Not painful, just… tingly. Stylist said it was normal.
- Washed that out. My hair was this weird yellow-orange color. Definitely not the goal!
- More bleach. More waiting.
- Finally, after rinsing again, it was light enough. Looked kinda crazy at this stage, super pale yellow.
- Then came the toner. This is the magic part, apparently, that gets rid of the yellow and makes it the right blonde. More waiting.
- Wash, condition, the whole nine yards. They put some treatment stuff in too, ’cause bleach isn’t exactly kind to your hair.
The Big Reveal and Aftermath
They dried and styled it. When I finally looked properly in the mirror? Whoa. It was BLONDE. Super blonde. Was it exactly like Megan Fox’s? Nah, probably not pixel-perfect. Celebrity hair is a whole other level, right? Probably extensions and constant touch-ups. But it was definitely the vibe I was going for.
Felt pretty cool, gotta admit. Totally different look.
But here’s the kicker – the upkeep. This wasn’t a one-and-done thing. The stylist gave me the lowdown:
- Purple shampoo is my new best friend. Gotta use it regularly, or the blonde goes brassy and yellow.
- Conditioning treatments are a must. My hair felt drier, needed extra moisture.
- And the roots! My dark roots started showing way faster than I expected. Going back for touch-ups every few weeks? That’s commitment. And money.
So yeah, tried the Megan Fox blonde thing. It was an experience. Looked cool for a while, but wow, it’s a lot of maintenance. Way more than I thought. Keeping up that level of blonde takes serious effort. Respect to Megan, or at least her hair team!
