The Ultimate List of Kinds of Bags: From Totes to Backpacks.

Well, let me tell ya somethin’ ’bout bags, the kind you carry stuff in. There’s a whole heap of ’em, ya know? Some big, some small, some fancy, some plain. It’s like pickin’ chickens, gotta find the right one for the job.

The Ultimate List of Kinds of Bags: From Totes to Backpacks.

First off, there’s them tote bags. Big ol’ things, like feed sacks but prettier. You can stuff a whole mess of things in there – groceries, books, that yarn I’m gonna knit into a sweater someday. They got them two handles, sturdy-like, and mostly open at the top so you can just toss stuff in. I seen some made outta canvas, tough as nails, and some outta that jute stuff, kinda rough but holds up good. They even got fancy leather ones, for them city folk I guess. You can take a tote bag to the market, carry stuff for a picnic, or even haul your stuff to the church social.

  • Canvas bags are real strong and can hold a lot of stuff.
  • Jute bags are kinda rough but they’re tough too.
  • Leather tote bags are fancy and look nice.

Then there’s them sling bags. One long strap goes over your shoulder, like you’re wearin’ a sash. Handy for keepin’ your stuff close, ya know? Not as big as a tote bag, but good for carryin’ your wallet, your keys, maybe a little snack. Good for when you’re goin’ to town or visitin’ a neighbor.

And let’s not forget the shoulder bags. Kinda like sling bags, but they got two straps, one on each shoulder. More room than a sling bag, but not as much as a tote. Good for carryin’ a bit more, like if you need to take an extra sweater or a book to read. They come in all sorts of colors and designs, some with zippers and pockets, some without. I seen one with a picture of a horse on it once, real purty it was.

Now, these handheld bags, they’re smaller, like purses
