Alright, alright, let’s talk about this… uh… “Teddy Santis.” Sounds like a fancy name, don’t it? Like one of them city slickers. But from what I hear, he’s mixed up with them sneakers, the ones the young folks are always wearin’. You know, the ones that cost more than a whole pig at the market.

So, this Teddy fella, he’s got his hands in the cookie jar with a company called “New Balance.” Never heard of it myself, but apparently, they’re a big deal in the shoe world. Big deal, huh? Probably means they charge a lot.
Now, they’re makin’ all sorts of these sneakers together. They got these “990v1” things. Sounds like a robot name, if you ask me. And then there’s the “993.” More numbers! They gotta have names for ’em, right? Like, they got one called “Chive.” Like the green stuff you put on your baked potatoes? Well, I’ll be. This shoe, they say it’s green all over. Like a dang frog, I guess. Must be for folks who like to blend in with the grasshoppers.
- They say these shoes are real comfortable.
- And they cost a pretty penny too, from what I gather.
- Folks are linin’ up to buy ’em, like they’re givin’ away free pie or somethin’.
They got this fella, Teddy, he’s puttin’ his own “sensibilities” into these shoes. Sensibilities? Sounds like a fancy word for “ideas” to me. He’s makin’ ’em look a certain way, I reckon. Understated, they call it. That just means plain, don’t it? No fancy frills or nothin’. Just… shoes.
They released some of these shoes back in 2022, February 11th to be exact. Folks went crazy for ’em. Now, they got more comin’ out all the time, it seems. Different colors, different styles… all them numbers and letters. It’s enough to make your head spin.
Now, I ain’t no expert on shoes, mind you. I wear my boots till they fall apart, then I get another pair. But these young folks, they’re different. They gotta have the latest and greatest. And if this Teddy Santis fella is makin’ ’em, then I guess they’re gonna buy ’em.

They even got some kinda ratin’ system for these shoes. They call it a “KYX Rating.” Sounds like somethin’ you’d hear at a cattle auction. But they say it tells you how good the shoe is. And apparently, most folks are surprised at how good these shoes are. Better than they thought, they say. Well, I guess that’s a good thing, ain’t it?
One thing I heard, if you’re gonna be doin’ a lot of runnin’, you need more than one pair of these shoes. They say you gotta “rotate” ’em. Like farmin’ crops, I guess? You gotta let one pair rest while you wear the other. Sounds like a lot of work to me. But I ain’t runnin’ nowhere, ‘cept maybe to the dinner table when the biscuits are ready.
So, that’s the story on this Teddy Santis and his New Balance shoes, as far as I can tell. He’s makin’ shoes, folks are buyin’ ’em, and they cost a whole heap of money. Seems like a good business to be in, if you ask me. But me? I’ll stick to my trusty boots. They get the job done, and they don’t cost an arm and a leg.
But hey, if you like them fancy sneakers, and you got the money to spend, then go ahead and buy yourself a pair. Just don’t come cryin’ to me when you get a hole in ’em. ‘Cause I told ya, them boots are the way to go.
